Ha - it's early and I'm not a morning person but Walter seems to have a great thinking mind - perhaps he chose not to waste it on me - but over the years I recognize my limitations and often ask other to explain or argue or tell me off - it's how I learn - I had to learn much when I decided to become a citizen down here and still miss that "belonging" which only those born in a nation can carry with them for life.

I think Walter likes Palin - I know I do but I think she has been ill-advised and too trusting in her handlers. She needs to consult with more people who have taken that final walk to the "chair" in the electoral process - to learn to manage her delivery and try to tamp downthe beautiful emotion she has - which cannot always be appropriate when deep in argument.

'Sides JLM - much of what I write is twaddle too hahaha..... you would not believe what the internet has taught me - it's like have a private college or library all my own....love it! I think the worst mistake a human can make (until they hear the final violins) is to believe
"they have seen it or learned it ALL!"

I kind of like Sarah too- she'd probably make a good Vice President at which she would gain some experience (which she probably needs) before becoming "head honcho".

Now JLM - if I could have only written what you did so well - you said what I was trying to muddle through!

Sorting out my thoughts is like trying to get panty hose to fit on one leg only... (ooops I'll probably get bleeped on this one).

The women of America should do themselves a big favour and tear this idiot limb from limb at the next redneck rally to save Old Gory.

Why so we can clean out the gene pool so there will be more Jante Reno's, Rosie Odonnell's and Margret Cho's running around.

They sure found a irritant that gets stuck all over the lefties. Still wonder who the Republicans will run in 2012, no one rising to the top down here.

Now that we've been through all this crap... What are the 'precedented' levels of death threats. We need a baseline to qualify this unprecedented level. You guys all overlooked that.

Doesn't appear to matter much right now who they pick.

Obama leading all Republicans nationally, Palin by 17 points

I seriously don't think Palin will run, just stir up the pot a bit till the elections. Those polls were seeing about President Obama are pretty much slanted by the left, he maybe fairly popular in those polls, but the average person from 18 year olds on up don't think to much of him. Rumor only, but there are people in the Democratic party who would like him to move over for another liberal. He could still run as a Independent. ( the two political parties are losing their clout).

Have there been any serious Presidential death threats?

Of course not, she will hint, and stay in the news, and in the meantime make more money off Palin Inc.

WHAT? OK, I think this one takes the cake. I thought I had heard it all before, but this one is a doozy.

Even Walter has posted poll results from PPP. They are regarded as one of the best.

Though maybe you aren't too far off the mark, after all reality has a well known liberal bias.

Just because he is ahead by a little, doesn't mean that were ecstatic over the job he, Congress or the House are doing. As I have said, he would not hold up to a person with star qualities, not a better person or one more qualified (in somes eyes), just someone popular who decided to enter the Presidential race Democratic or Republican.

Where did I say that? The polls clearly show right now, that Obama is ahead of all the other contenders. It's like the situation we have here in Canada; Harper is the best of the bunch, but far from loved, and Canadians are far from ecstatic in the job he's doing.

Your problem seems a lot more complicated, so many political parties to satisfy, we have two and cannot make up our minds. :)

Obama's real problem is that he is being weighed down by the inability/unwillingness of the Democrats in the both Houses in Congress to do much of anything. He can't really push an agenda because all the special interests the Dems try to cater to conflict and end up watering down everything. The Republicans, for all the gaffs and mistakes Bush Jr made, showed much stronger party unity.

I really think it is time to break up these little clubs we call parties, they are just not getting what the people want done. Most people do not care about a political party, they just want their cause raised in congress and enacted upon. You can say one party on paper has more or less voting members, but when the vote actually happens we pull the lever that actually is what we want. The special interests we talk about are us also. Now to get more complainers out and actually vote.

And yes it is.
