A climatologist is a climatologist. A climate scientist is anyone who contributes to IPCC malarkey...including dentists. If you write a paper on climate change and tooth decay you are considered a "climate scientist".

Ask him. I was never that interested in what Gore had to say to be interested in why he said anything or much of what he said. He's a politician. If I wanted to know about his type of politics I would ask him. He's not a scientist so I wouldn't ask him about science.
