Deadly US "interventions" World wide

Picking and choosing who one "intervenes" with and who one leaves to their own devices.........sounds like abuse of power and politics.

Of course the US does not choose "randomly". Iraq was DELIBERATE. PREMEDITADED. and ILLEGAL.......and only a select few were involved in the planning discussions. The select few being in favor of course.......or had been skillfully manipulated by the bush goons.

Of course there are "discussions". But the motivation and thrust is by the most war loving nation on the planet. Deciding who to bomb / ie kill, slaughter, maim and otherwise ruin for life must give the "deciders" such a god like feeling of power ..

By the way, my reply was about Yemen, but as long as you mentioned Iraq. What is this ILLEGAL you mention, who's laws were broken Iraq's? Saddam was totally disobeying U.N. mandates, no fly zone and the U.N. chose to let him do it. We didn't, so what. As to war loving, read more history.

WAR is NOT PEACE.........and only the mentally convoluted would disagree.

Amen to that. But you must understand that the America haters want the USA to fight wars that the haters want so that they don't have to do the fighting or paying for those wars. Force those haters to do the fighting and they will change their minds about those wars and do so pronto just like they did with Iraq and Afghanistan.

good points. Let's take a moment and discuss this "hating" of america. How did it start?? and WHO are the actual "haters"??

One can also argue that those that "hate" america , are the very same that claim to be blindly patriotic , fanatically boastful about the country , blind to its flaws, and behave in ways that only encourage resentment and anger. america has deluded itself about how wonderful it is that it came to believe its own delusions.

that is not to say it has not done some very wonderful things in the areas of science, research, medicine ; space exploration , setting challenging objectives for itself and accomplishing them.

One could go on a list many of the self evident virtues without being boastful in that childish way that became the pattern.

The point is that one cannot be so blinded by either patriotism , loyalty , hero worship, or even envy that one cannot see the realities that have surfaced in the last decade along with america's responsibility in them.

No nation warrants the kind of adoration that some reserve for the US........as no nation comes close to actually being what it claims it is.

Ocean Breeze wants the US to fight wars she wants?

You still haven't learned the difference between patriotism and nationalism I see.

america has deluded itself about how wonderful it is that it came to believe its own delusions.
Got any proof?

Wow, hollow condescending praise, to be followed up with a back hand.

One could go on a list many of the self evident virtues without being boastful in that childish way that became the pattern.
Equally, one can go through the history of the US and point out a litany of contemptible actions. All without the childishness contained in your posts.

The point is that one cannot be so blinded by either patriotism , loyalty , hero worship, or even envy that one cannot see the realities that have surfaced in the last decade along with america's responsibility in them.
Very true. To bad you aren't capable of that, from the opposite side of the discussion.

No nation warrants the kind of adoration that some reserve for the US........as no nation comes close to actually being what it claims it is.
Why do you keep talking about the US as a generalized entity?

It appears you don't know what plagiarizing means
Just looked it up to make sure.

And sure enough, I do know what it means. And you yep, you have plagiarized wiki, unintentionally or otherwise.

Whatever your silly definition is, as usual, you're wrong.

Plagiarizing is trying to put off someone else's words as your own. I posted the actual source from where those words came from so I was hardly trying to do that. LOL.

Oh do tell how the US fully supported him.

The fact that you think I was talking about that specific post is funny. You just did that dance DaS was talking about. Again.

No idea what you're talking about, you're just ruining another thread with your gibberish and infantile accusations.

No idea what you're talking about...
I actually suspect you don't. But then again, your posts indicate you don't understand what anybody says. So again, no surprises.

...you're just ruining another thread with your gibberish and infantile accusations.
You beat me to it. But thanks for trying to share the accolades.

Can you spot the unaccredited, plagiarized posts?

It is what most nations try to emulate. Ever try to find a real difference between Canada and the U.S., there isn't we evolved very similar. I have found no nation better to its people than we are to ours. Yes, most of us do love our country as we would family.

Yes, and there are plenty. Gotta wonder why you would even consider otherwise.. Sure there is some societal blurring as can be expected with a "friendly" border.......but the differences are there too as each nation still maintains ideas, philosophies that are unique to them. (even if Harper would like to believe or have it differently The sorry bloke should have moved to the US long ago.),

and NO , most nations DON'T try to emulate the US. That is another delusion (false belief) americans have about themselves.. Most nations would rather progress on their own terms , with their own identity and culture intact.

Not really... there isn't much difference.

A BIG HUGE BLUR

There is no difference. You all sound like you're from Minnesota too!

Harper is your sorry bloke, and you voted him in. What most nations would like to do and what they can do are two different thing.
