Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Yep. As The Sun rightly points out today, the lockdown has been a huge mistake and Boris needs to end it NOW, otherwise we'll all be in the sh*tter and the Tories may well lose the next election.

"The Sun says", and WTF are they?

It's not a lockdown.
It's a bunch of hysterical snowflakes shrieking that this is the WORST. . . THING. . . EVER!

You're the snowflakes, wanting to lockdown whole countries just because of a flu-like virus.

What a bunch of pussy wussies.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

You seem to have a problem getting it through your thick head, that the lockdown is necessary until such a time that we are reasonable safe to do otherwise. I don't know about you, but there are a lot of us out here who don't want to die by contracting the disease, but I guess you are just too stupid to understand that.
You think staying home quivering in fear is the path forward ? How long can the government keep printing money ? How long should we allow our senior citizens no visitation and access to their loved ones ? Do you not find it cruel and unusual punishment for elderly people after a lifetime of service to Canada are left to die alone ?

The lockdown has very little to do with domestic violence and suicides. Those are decisions made by people, time YOU accepted some responsibility and quit blaming others.
The decision to shutter our economy was also made by people .

I'm actually starting to fear for your sanity.

Also for people in hospital for any reason such as heart attack, stroke or in hospital patient treatment not just covid sufferers. Nobody gets visitors in hospital now.

Yes, that's right. Video calls, texting, Facebook messenger, phone calls, all allowed.

It isn't, though.

You want to keep in mind that this is a canadian site and most of the posters are canadian, stupid. In Canada , visitors are not allowed in the hospitals. Period.

If they are allowed in hospitals in britain, then that is one more example of britain not being under lock down.

Yes, expose the elderly so they can die with company.

You’re such a Todd.

I'm not talking about visitors.

We expose the elderly during the annual flu pandemic. Why should it be so different with coronavirus?

And your solution to not expose the elderly to a virus is to keep them locked inside their homes for months, all alone, without being able to see their children and grandchildren, a policy far more likely to kill each of them than coronavirus.

Yes. Ingenious.

You got that right Gerry. I was recently in hospital for about 15 days, two of which were in intensive care. Those were the ONLY days my wife was permitted to visit me. Otherwise I never saw a soul. "Thick head" should check with his Prime Minister to find out how serious the "flu like virus" is that the "pussy wussies" fear.

Already have done.

The British Government downgraded it to a flu-like virus back in March.

A recent study in Britain found its fatality rate to be 0.75%.
