Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

When celebrate independence day, what country do they celebrate getting their independence from?

Like I said, if Britain wasnt there, France and Spain would have filled the gap. Considering France had a few colonies in "Canada" before britain, and Spain was swinging up from the south. North and South America really didnt need the slimey limeys.

Who I are you planning on voting for in November ?

Deflection is all you have.

Btw, prepare for the “I was just joking” defence from Trump. Then you’ll have to change your defence. You crack me up.

Great britain may 1 1707
United states july 4 1776
So gb isn't that much older than the u.s.

No, but it's still older.

And the 13 colonies started life as English (including Wales) colonies quite a bit before the 1707 Act of Union with Scotland.

You asked when Great Britain was formed. Are you saying that you dont know your own history ? There was no Great Britain before 1707.

But it was, and they didn't.

Canada owes its existence to the British Empire.

It's funny how the whole world knows that apart from some Canadians. What did you get taught at school, back in the days when children went to school?

England (which included Wales, as a historian like you knows) was around long before 1707 and the English established their first colonies in North America - the embryonic USA - long before 1707.

And, as a side note, those colonies were AFTER France and Spain already had foot holds in north and south america.

Yeah, but the Frogs and Dagos didn't found the Thirteen Colonies which established the USA. The English did.

If you want to argue with me at least make it intelligent. Otherwise you'll be embarrassed.

I'll let you off this time.
