I like making Reuben sandwiches, tater salad, and coleslaw besides what I mentioned earlier.
Grilled cheese (real cheese) sandwiches with kippers in Louisiana hotsauce is a fave, too.

I try - and keep on trying - to re-create the tastes of my childhood: Old recipe Hungarian meals, as my Mother used to make them.

"Hungarian head cheese is really good, as you probably well know."

The BEST!! I used to go to a Hungarian deli in the Hamilton Farmers' Market to get some. I live in Winnipeg now, and sadly, except for one local deli, there is no good place to find good head cheese or sausage, for that matter.

I find that amazing in a city of close to a million people. You should start up a deli there.

"I wouldn't give a plugged nickle for headcheese. What crap!"

So, hook up with AnnaG and whomever for a delightful threesome.

If you think that a meal like that beats head cheese, you must have a lonely and boring life.

I'm not sure if I FULLY agree with that statement but you are definitely on the right track, while head cheese might be good for 15 meals a week, I think a meal of baked spuds, cob corn and elk steak could be accommodated once in a while.

I dunno, if it means a threesome with AnnaG, it might not be lonely or boring.

That sounds good for the music, but what are you going to eat?:lol:

That was the top song on the Hit Parade about 1952- Hank Williams.
