Cmon peeps,im sure you can come up with something better then what you have so far for justifying someone who wants a nuke free world to not be recognized for his push for dialouge and peace instead of bombs.

It's easy to be angry and frustrated when you see someone get a top notch award for not having done anythign yet, but hoping they will.
Let him actually do something, then nobody in the whole wide world will be more deserving. Talk's cheap ... especially in the business of war.
Took many years for the bush clan to bring the states to the level it is and you think he should have all the problems created solved in this short a time?
Thats just freaking amazing that you could even make an assumption like that.
Lets start with his commitment to not be dependant on foreign oil,if you dont think thats a step towards us getting out of the middle east then you should read the news about the saudis asking for a handout when it does happen.
You did read the news this morning right?
You see,the Saudi's take his promise very seriously.
Haliburtons time will be short lived there soon as will lots of other American oil companies.
You seem to forget this is not an "American" award to be doled out to who Americans want it to.
Must suck for some when the rest of the world actually see's something positive peace wise in someone and they cant do a thing about it.
Priceless!

Absolutely priceless how you seem to have carried on an entire conversation with yourself. You've been sniffing the ether haven't you?
I was actually responding to the other posts, please try and keep up.
Have at her with the insults though,im one guy you or anyone else cant ever piss off,im also the most non partisan guy you would ever meet so carry on,I'm enjoying the analogys and the cheap shots.
 Right....
Nice intelligent reply,I expected a one liner.;-)
 Right....
I'll ask you the same as I asked Joey. What has Obama actually done to deserve a Nobel Prize?
Grow up.The reason Yassar got it is 2 links back, right from the peeps that gave it to him.
You should really read up on what the prize is about, your hatred is blinding you from facts.
...justifying someone who wants a nuke free world to not be recognized for his push for dialouge and peace instead of bombs.
And Ill mention again that you should see what it takes to be eligible.
Its been posted now at least a dozen times, either read up on it or continue looking like a fool.
This is not your prize to give out my friend, sorry if the rest of the world sees Obama in a different light.
Most of his supporters in the google results I got seemed to think he got it for giving us HOPES that he can do something. That may be your take, but on CBC radio I listened to an interview with someone who said that the overall reaction by both Republicans and Democrats was puzzlement.
Few people, other than you, can figure out what the Norwegians were thinking.
I'm sure I could find as many links from the other side but the point is your peeps werent handing out the prize so get over it allready, because of little kid mentalitys like yours I will be forced to sit through another "Obamathon" on tv this whole weekend and god only knows how long you and the rest of the sour grapes will be whining about it but if thats the only problem America has with Obama right now then I think hes doing pretty good.
Now that's tragic. Obviously the Nobel committee members aren't very bright. "Oh, yeah. Ghandi. We forgot about him".:roll:Peace prize - No he did not deserve it - Not yet anyways - Later perhaps - Fogot about this guy - Liberated India peacefully - Nominated 5 times - .[18][19] The Committee has confirmed that Gandhi was nominated in 1937, 1938, 1939, 1947 Mahatma Gandhi never received the Nobel Peace Prize, though he was nominated for it five times[47] between 1937 and 1948. Decades later, though, the Nobel Committee publicly declared its regret for the omission. The Nobel Committee may have tacitly acknowledged its error, however, when in 1948 (the year of Gandhi's death), it made no award, stating "there was no suitable living candidate" though they awarded it posthumously to fellow Scandinavian Dag Hammarskjöld in 1961, who died after being nominated. Similarly, when the Dalai Lama was awarded the Peace Prize in 1989, the chairman of the committee said that this was "in part a tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi". The official Nobel e-museum has an article discussing the issue.Another controversy from the Nobel listings http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Prasherhttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091009093649AAWCfcGHitler was nominated by the Swedish Member of Parliament Erik Brandt in January 1939. What many people don't know, and obviously even his contemporaries didn't understand, was that the whole nomination was nothing but a joke.Brandt was a Social Democrat, a staunch anti-Nazi and one of the founders of a Swedish organization called Universal Anti-Fascist Coalition in 1938. What made him perform this practical joke was his astonishment over the naïve and gullible praise of the British Prime Minister Chamberlain ("Peace in Our Time") who in his opinion put the whole of Europe in danger by yielding ground to Hitler in Munich in September 1938 by accepting the incorporation of Bohemia in the Third Reich.12 Swedish members of parliament praised Chamberlain to the skies and nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1938 (he didn't get it), which made the astonished Brandt respond by nominating Hitler a few months later.Brandt seems to have been both shocked and surprised when he realized that most people, including the media, didn't get his irony. Many people even wrote him telegrams and letters to express their thanks and appreciation for his nominating Hitler. Even the German leadership seemed happy and content about the nomination (when he actually intended to make them feel offended by the irony), so Brandt quickly turned tail and withdrew it just a few days later.
Actually, I think Bush getting the award would have not been surprise. It would have been disgust. To be fair, if Bush had won the Noel Prize, the reaction would have been similar.
