Guess our job market is on the rise.

A new Brookings report finds that college-educated immigrants now outnumber those who enter the United States with just a high school degree. The disparity is especially striking in urban areas, with college-educated immigrants outnumbering their high-school-educated counterparts by 25 percent in 44 major U.S. cities. Overall, 30 percent of working-age immigrants have a college degree now, compared to just 19 percent in 1980. Only 28 percent of immigrants in the United States lack a high school diploma.
And the trend appears to have escalated. More college-educated immigrants came to the United States in the past 10 years than immigrants lacking a high school education, in part due to increased demand from U.S. employers. Half of all skilled immigrants are overqualified for their current jobs, the report finds.

The US government should act quickly to stop these undeserving immigrants from taking jobs from natural-born Americans. These dammed techies with their skills and high IQs can go to some developing nation like Canada and create problems there.

This is absolutely true of LEGAL Immigrants to the United States of America.

Unfortunately, it is not the case of illegal immigrants, who often have the bare minimum of education required in Mexico (6 years), or none at all if they come from other countries.

What are you talking about? Why would we stop college educated immigrants that can make their own way and contribute?

There not the ones sneaking into the U.S. in the back of trucks, or footing it across the border causing problems. If they have a trade or education we need, you can be sure they are allowed in, if it is really needed there moved to the head of the line. Plus, I almost forgot most of the educated use normal legal ways to enter the U.S.

Send them up!!! Send lots of them!!! ASAP!!! People who are well educated, can (and will) hold down a job, maybe provide employment for others, and cost mostly nada in social services, are most definitely what this developing country needs.

Hopefully they can speak English, and settle not in La Grosse Province.

It's too bad that many high skilled immigrants are working below their skill levels. The trends look very good though.

They are most often NOT working below their skill level. This skill level nonsense is a myth propagated by the immigrants themselves and by socialists.

Most of these so called professional immigrants cannot speak proper English and cannot write a proper report if their life dependent on it. As well, they very often know nothing of the business standards, practices, Canadian codes, etc etc .
In fact I often see these immigrants given jobs that they are not qualified to do but they are being backstopped by others around them that can cover/oversee what they are doing.

Before you blather on about nonsense, try RTFR. Then maybe you will have something worthwhile to say.

Rubbish.

Probably not, but at least they know what country they're in, the report pertains to the United States of America, you dolt.

So does this blow a hole through the uneducated immigrant stereotype?

It actually depends where you are. It's in the report. The West and Southwest along with a few metro areas in Florida appear to get largely lower skill immigrants, especially if there are large populations of immigrants there already.
