Too many of us in the modern world have become desensitized to murder and death in general. We fail to empathize with our fellow human beings and actually enjoy watching others die, the more hideous the better we like it. The hard tough guys here are pathetic examples of the lowest order of human. Macho bull**** artists piss me off, they are all the same, mouth and nothing but mouth. They are always the first to their knees in the real thing.

I complete agree, hence why you likely only mouth off from behind a computer screen, claiming to live in the lap of luxury thanx to capitalism, while espousing the virtues of socialism. You have the credibility of a politician caught with his dick in a prostitute..."I slipped and fell in"...;-)

Are you a porn show freak stinky? You always like to swim in dirt man. Go someplace quiet and think about what a useless pile of meat you are.

"a bunch of US military pilots decided it would be a good idea to fly Apaches and kill and bunch of people and then the US military covered it up."

That's a pretty accurate description. I see no idiocy exuded. Please explain specifically where this goes wrong. And no, my entire case has not been an ad hominem attack.

Also yes. That is the one word answer for whether I knew that the US went to war in Iraq.

Formal logic works in any situation though. If you're not abiding by the rules of logic, then you're being illogical.

I haven't resorted to any ad hominem against you (ie like directly try to insult you), and I won't. The facts of the case at hand are still a bunch of US military pilots decided it would be a good idea to fly Apaches and kill and bunch of people and then the US military covered it up. Therefore, just like my original post in this thread pointed out, you can't trust the US military (in addition: stay away from it at all costs), and it has now been ethically put on the same level as some mafias and gangs and that sort of thing.

I think this is a pretty strong case. No logical fallacies needed to make it either.

Yes...that is what they decided to do...get in Apaches and kill a bunch of people.

Don't worry Icarus... you wouldn't have made it in any of the Armed Forces anyways. We've always protected the weak regardless.

This is the best you could muster? Why am I not surprised.

"a bunch of US military pilots decided it would be a good idea to fly Apaches and kill and bunch of people and then the US military covered it up."
That's your opinion based on what, no one knows. It would seem to have been plucked out of thin air, if not your ass.

That's a pretty accurate description.
How so? Are Combat Pilots allowed to go flying their Aircraft wherever they want on a whim?

I see no idiocy exuded.
Of course you don't, your posts ahow an extreme detachment from reality.

Please explain specifically where this goes wrong.
The whole premise is farcical.

And no, my entire case has not been an ad hominem attack.
Not from where I sit.
Also yes. That is the one word answer for whether I knew that the US went to war in Iraq.
OK, this is a good step. Next question, do you understand the chain of command?

Did you not see the weapons they had?

They were called in to provide air support because a bunch of Iraqis had decided to go kill a bunch of American soldiers as noted by the AK-47's and the RPG that can clearly be seen by people with eyes.

In this case...the insurgents failed... miserably.

Two reporters decided to inbed themselves with the insurgents and get that money shot... and get killed instead.

Some moron decided to pack his kids in a van and drive to an area where a bunch of insurgents got hosed down by an unknown source and got his van shot up instead.

OK, against my better judgment, I have to say...

Way to go, now I won't be able to help him come to this conclusion on his own.

Although I'm sure he never will.

See, you're not supposed to respond that way. I really liked it when you talked about that people losing their empathy and stuff. It's hard for me to see the value in responding with an insult, but maybe you do.

This guy is typical of the anti-military lot that we have down here. He knows nothing about the military yet has an axe to grind.

Something tells me he lost his chick to a man in uniform.

Actually, you may believe what you posted but its not anything close to logic or fact. Military pilots don't "just decide" to fly anywhere: they are tasked with specific missions and objectives by their higher ups. Yes, they have to make decisions at times, but those decisions are also governed by their rules of engagement, also formulated by their command structure. The conversation played on the videos demonstrated they sought confirmation that firing on first the pedestrians and later the van were within their rules of engagement.

Is it a cover up? I don't know. Two "sides" of the incident have come out and they don't agree on some things but there seems to be a lot of holes in the 2nd version to just say that that the US military lied about what happened. If it is a cover up, its pretty low scale and more by omission than by outright deception. The loss of life could be a tragedy, especially if the van was civillians acting in good faith, but I don't shed many tears over the armed insurgents fighting for a cause they believe in or the reporters trying to become famous for their daring exploits in the name of more sensationalism passing for journalism.

A 25 year old civillian male from the DC area which is surrounded by Military Bases. He's one of the local civs.

Wulfie, does this sort of mellow charm and wise calm come with age? I have a low tolerance for what you obviously see as well. How do you do it?

But it isn't merely a photo op they're trying to stop. They are trying to stop insurgents from escaping and the weapons from finding their way back into circulation.

Bear, if those choppers were there all by their lonesome, you might have a point. The fact is that there were a company(?) of Bradleys a few blocks away. There is no way that they could have picked up the weapons and gotten away with the choppers playing spotter and the Bradleys right there.

Yep, the helo's were flying cover for "Bushwacker 26", and did exactly what they are supposed to do. Neutralize any threat before they can mount an ambush or otherwise offensive action. That is how operations like that work.

You don't know that. That's pure conjecture.
