Confirmation bias goes both ways. Religious and environmental zealots are especially prone to this behavior.

Global warming confirmation bias is the undoubtedly biggest echo chamber in modern history.

If over 97% of climate scientists agree that climate change is real and caused by humans, why is there a divide among Americans?
Because the 97% "consensus" is a lie. A lie that you stupid fags keep repeating over and over and over. Do you have any clue how they arrived at their "97%" figure?

I am completely shocked that the poll wasn't able to generate a 100% consensus considering that they only consulted those individuals are already convinced of the position

“Ninety-seven percent of the world’s scientists” say no such thing.

In fact, the “97 percent” statistic was drawn from an even smaller subset: the 79 respondents who were both self-reported climate scientists and had “published more than 50% of their recent peer-reviewed papers on the subject of climate change.”

These 77 scientists agreed that global temperatures had generally risen since 1800, and that human activity is a “significant contributing factor.”

Climate Change: No, It

LOL BOOMer talking out his face bum again!

..and hoid having a nice slab of that for lunch.

There were two 97% scams. The 97% of 34% and the 97% of 79 surveyed.

Math at any level is over their heads. Actually, the math is quite correct though. As the saying correctly states, "numbers don't lie". However, humans are more than capable of using numbers to lie for them. Thus, the 97% "consensus" ignores the 2/3 of scientists who didn't answer or return the survey because the questions were designed to lead to a preconceived conclusion and THAT ain't how science is done.

Since my father is still with us and I'm 35 years younger than he is and since Canadians continually are living longer than their parents I'm sure I'll be seeing the mid-century and many years thereafter.
