guys, guys... per your norm, lots of chucklehead remarks. Curiously, none of you speak to actual glacier retreat, whether in Glacier Park or elsewhere. Do you, uhhh... even acknowledge receding glaciers, and if so, what's causing glaciers to recede, with particular focus on the most recent 50 years, or so?

Let's talk growth. How and when. Up to it?

what's the percentage of receding versus increasing glaciers today?

now the second time you've posted this graphic... if only you could articulate your thoughts, provide some degree of context and actually suggest you can do more than blindly cut&paste a graphic.

maybe instead of cherry picking data from dubious sources you should get out and look. I made 14 trips over the coastal glaciers this year and 16 last year. There is no shortage of snow up there even in August and September. New snow on them in October. IF by some miracle they recede permanently we can plant trees there. Those are known as carbon sinks.

Much less than the ice free North Pole for 2013
Non sequitur

you're pretty gun-shy, hey! I asked a simple question... I've provided no data, yet you've already tagged me with "cherry-picking and dubious sources"! Your anecdotal "cherry-picking" from your dubious source (you) is noted!

How did they get there in the first place? Are they the Holocene norm?

how is it your implied "non-norm" glaciers have started to increasingly recede within this relatively particular timeline?

Come on let's talk till and moraines of alpine glacial growth and retreat over the Holocene. Up for it?

As expected... You have no answers, especially to that one.

Thanks for playing champ... Lemme see what Vanna has as a consolation prize

what does an Arctic sea-ice related prediction (made by a smallish number of persons) have to do with the relatively recent past and ongoing glacier retreat?

what relative point are you wanting to make between, "over the Holocene" and today's relatively recent glacier retreat?

Still no answer, eh?... Again, as expected.

Here's that consolation prize for ya... Vanna found the extra strength stuff just for you.

PS - As your case of butthurt is especially serious, you might want to take it orally in addition to the recommended application.

Cheers

They grow and retreat. We are seeing the glaciation go back to normal. This is the 11th retreat in 10,000 years.

Get some ice for that butt hurt.

Alpine glaciation is not the norm. Period!
