As I have pointed out before. There are multiple reasons for getting rid of fossil fuels other than preventing global warming. Unless you are one of those people who enjoy breathing dirty air.

Perhaps you may have missed it, but technology has created vehicles in the past 20 years that are a lot cleaner in their fuel consumption than the smoke belching vehicles of the 1950s. Improving the efficiency of gas burning vehicles is a hell of a lot cheaper and easier than designing vehicles that can run on alternate forms of energy. The capability of operating 7 billion electric vehicles doesn't exist. There's a finite number of rivers we can dam and damn.
