Uh, yes it is. If this global warming trend is truly human driven, then China's annual generation of 10 bilion tonnes of CO2 is the primary driver. Hardly seems worth it to cause financial misery in Canada over our paltry 500 million tonnes.

If the trend isn't human driven, and there's plenty of reasons to believe it's not, then anything we're doing to mitigate it is not only merely forestalling the inevitable, it's causing financial misery for many people for no good reason.
