It's not so hard at all.

It's like saying we should pull out of a combat mission because we contribute comparatively little.

China should do its part and there is no reason why we can't do ours.

If anything, if we were to stop our own agenda, that would just give China more legitimacy to be a laggard like we used to be.

If we shut down ALL energy production, and went back to horse and buggy, it would make no difference what so ever to "global warming".

So if you have neighbor A making noise on a Friday night, you ask neighbor B to turn down their radio because you can't sleep?

You allege that CO2 is causing issues. Why not go after the country actually putting the most CO2 in the air?

and there is the standard answer when ever it's pointed out how much countries like China contribute to the CO2 output. Rather than evading, or ignoring the question, how about you answer it. The one below put forward by IRBS. Plus, why should we, Canada, do anything since the amount of CO2 that we are responsible for is miniscule, comparatively speaking.

At no time, has Canada's contribution to CO2 production made a global difference to GW.

I have read a few articles that said it would take shutting down all vehicles and manufacturing for the rest of this century to stop the temp from rising by 1C. Since that will never happen it seem to be a move that will prevent 3rd world countries from attaining our level of consumerism. They can afford the toys but not with an extra tax included.

How much CO2 has human population increase in the last 100 years added to the atmosphere and how much over this century??
