Shame. Some day when I have more free time on my hands, I want to ditch my 5.3 Magnum for a 5.7 HEMI just ‘cuz. Same (lack of) paint, bit of bodywork, & just seal it up under some clear coat. It’ll look the same. Fit for a Mexican gardener.

It’s already pretty snakey, but it can be more so, & only I’d know. Adapter kit for the current tranny with its shift kit, & same gear ratio pumpkin.

Maybe some old school ‘80’s bling under the hood just for the pump jockeys checking the oil…

"Conservatives" whimpering about how WRONG it is for a private company to make its own business decisions in 3. . . 2. . . 1. . .
^^^^ Smart ass rocket scientist thinks govts dictating what kind of cars automakers can make is somehow the decision of a private company. While there's an EV mandate set for 2035 for many nations, several sub-sovereign states are pushing for their own 2030 mandates.

You know what makes me laugh though? Listening to the car ads from makers who fought tooth and nail for decades against EVs suddenly devoting the bulk of their production to EVs and acting like it was their idea to start with because "they care about the environment."

Aww. . . you've discovered that advertising ain't the 100%, honest truth. Ain't that cute?

EVs are fine if you have the infrastructure to support them. Will that happen any time soon?
Not likely - if they keep killing oil pipelines to reduce fuel consumption and rely totally on wind & solar, there's nothing that will support the change at this time and likely not for a few decades. But we'll learn the hard way & will suffer the consequences just like California does now with it's blackouts. Something to look forward to....

Evs have their place. Outside city limits just isn't it. We were looking at replacing one of the fire department pickups with a hybrid but were advised against it. Often these pickups have to sit for hours with all the lights on, and apparently even hybrids are not up to it.
OTH a buddy is shop manager for a company in Tumbler Ridge that looks after most of the light equipment for the mines, and he said there are a bunch of electric pickups and some larger service trucks ordered for one of the mines. They do have lots of places to plugin in an open pit mine .
