The rest of the chapter is ever more damning (literally). You just quoted the part where he says good people are rewarded.

In the next few lines, the same idea is repeated in reverse.

41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

If you do not do these things you will be punished forever.

Why go through the theological debate? If you believe, you can do all the rhetorical hoop jumping you want to convince people on the internet that you are not a hypocrite, so you can go on living satisfied that your treatment of others won't come back to you. But Jesus is pretty clear in the Matthew 25. It is unequivocal. You will have to answer to your god.

Are you a goat or a sheep?

I'm so glad Petros took the time to show us the hypocrisy of Christians. His behaviour in this thread (well, in all threads really) proves my point. Thank you Pete. I can always count on you

Well, it depends on which Christians you talk to. Most fundies say that Catholics are not really Christian, so petroglyph isn't really a Christian to many. But, between gerry and petroglyph, one might construe that Catholics are nasty, foul mouthed Aholes.

True but Jesus does not oblige them to be that way. They just choose to ignore his teachings that they don't like. It's a lot easier to be a follower that way

Jesus loves you despite your rejection of his teachings

You are a goat on the left, I am a sheep on the right. You and the Muzzies are goats and no concern to our herd of sheep.

No obligation to you or your goat f-cking brethren.

Next time read what you quote from the Bible and ask if you have trouble understanding.

Jesus would have stepped up to the refugee's plate because he had limitless resources. He apparently fed the multitudes with just a few loaves of bread and a handful of fish. He could turn water into wine. Which is weird because you'd think he'd at least have the ability to purify water to make it safe to drink in those days.
