How about we do a little experiment. Let's take people with your belief system and make them feel like shyte daily from childhood onwards. Then we'll make it so you have to hide your personality (not your beliefs, your personality) and then if you slip, we'll send people in to beat you up...regularily. You're friends and family and co-workers will be bombarded with your "abnormality" and shamed for knowing you. We'll maybe even protest at your gatherings, your funeral or your friends funerals. We'll make it so you can't, for a single day, live your life without being made to feel like a perverted, unlikable monster. Then after 20, 30 years of this lets see how happy you are? Sound like fun? Remember though...it's not about your beliefs. It's about who you are to your core.

You can find no more celebrated and protected designation in the post structural zeitgeist than that of 'victim'.. which has been imposed on homosexual persons.. in many cases to their extreme detriment and psychological damage.. as they are told they have no choice.. are made this way.. and obligated to act on it. Hence the extreme distress it causes in their lives.

Interesting choice of belief you have there.

Ya, like, constant bashing by the high and mighty has no effect on their anxiety levels. Constant attempts to shame because some choose to broadcast the "moral superiority" toward gays, has nothing to do with suicide and depression. Gay bashing is bullying and should be treated as such.

Sure Cliffy.

Yup, homophobes are closet queens terrified of their own gayness. Blackhead fits the profile.

Closet queens huh. Why don't you just call them a bunch of f*gs?

Shall we do a body count?
Why, so you can undercount the killings of Christian fanatics, and then claim that because somebody else kills more people than Christian fanatics, that excuses the Christian fanatics?

I already know you think that.

Christian fundamentalists maintain that all those who do not accept Jesus as a god and their personal saviour are doomed to an eternal lake of fire. And so, hurrying the doomed on their way surely is divine will.

If this is what you think he thinks.....

I already know you think that.

....then no, you don't know. Not at all. I'd stake my life on it.

Is that why everyday on the news you hear about suicide bombing bible thumpers in North America?

No. Anybody who thinks that murder is the way to get closer to God is deranged. Period, end of story.

Who bombed the Oklahoma federal building? Were the KKK innocent by standers? Who dragged a black man behind their pickup a few years ago? What was the major religious representation of those who bombed Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan into the dark ages? Who has been attacking gays in North America? Who is running the drones who are indiscriminately people in the Middle East? Who was responsible for the American Holocaust? Killing and beating is killing and beating whether or not someone is wearing a suicide vest.

I'll repeat myself. Anyone who thinks killing is the way to get closer to God is deranged. Remember, you're the one that posted the thread about the Christian trying to find a way to execute homosexuals.

I understood that part. I was referring to the previous sentence.

And I was referring to Spade's post, which singled out Christian Fundamentalists. The way some single out Islamist Extremists.

Again, all tied up with my closing sentence.

Let's put it this way, if someone is going to kill you, do you care if he's Christian, Muslim, or Atheist? I know I wouldn't, lol.

A few days ago, Pastor Roger Jimenez of the Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento, California made international headlines when he said in a sermon that he didn’t feel bad for the “50 pedophiles” who died in the Orlando gay nightclub shooting, adding that he was sad the killer didn’t “finish the job.”

Jimenez also argued, referring to gay people, that the government should “round them all up, put them up against a firing wall, put a firing squad in front of them, and blow their brains out.”

Luis Megid, a reporter from Univision, went to his house this week to find out if Jimenez really believed what he said and if he wanted to apologize. After all, perhaps hearing the negative reactions from around the world would push the pastor to seek forgiveness.
REPORTER: You said that if it were your choice, the government would put them against a wall and kill them.
JIMENEZ: Mhmm.
REPORTER: You don’t think that’s violent?
JIMENEZ: What I’m saying is that if the government was following God’s law, that’s what they would do.
REPORTER: And you would be okay with that?
JIMENEZ: I would be okay with that.
REPORTER: That they killed them all.
JIMENEZ: Exactly.
REPORTER: You don’t think that’s an irresponsible thing to say?
JIMENEZ: No. Well, I have no more time for you.
I’m not surprised that Jimenez wouldn’t apologize. He doesn’t think he said anything wrong, so there’s no reason for him to repent, and that confidence comes from a literal interpretation of what the Bible says.

This is the bigger issue. Jimenez believes that if something is written in his Holy Book, no matter how many Christians tell him he’s misinterpreting the text, he’s justified in advocating what it says. It would be wrong for him to do otherwise.

So is it wrong for him to have his own opinion that is not approved by the PC police?

No. But I do support free speech even when I don't agree with it. It is safer to let these people speak out so we know who they are than let them fester in silence.
No you don't. If you did, you wouldn't be making snide comments about the "PC police." The "PC police" are exactly what Pastor Killemall is, people expressing their views freely.

Difference is you think Pastor Killemall should be free to do so, and the people who disagree with him shouldn't be.

This ain't Canada, tax. We don't criminalize speech.

I live in the hope that someday you'll come to understand the difference between private parties saying "You're wrong" or "You're despicable" or even "You can't say that" (without the power to enforce) and the government banning speech under criminal penalty. But I ain't gonna bet on it.
