Esks are 9-6. If they win out they will be 12-6 with 24 points. If Winnipeg loses out, they will have their current 22 points and be on the road. Whomever said they clinched was wrong. They did clinch tiebreaker over SK as they have won 2/3.

Winnipeg just needs 1 win or Edmonton loss to clinch as they have tiebreaker over Edmonton too.

If the playoffs started today (Oct. 14) …

Argos win as this one literally goes down to the wire. With :18 seconds left in the game and the score 29 - 28 in the Argos favor, the BB's had a chance to put a W on the board with a Medlock FG..............but he missed!......Argo's kicker punted out of the end zone to the sidelines and the Argos walk away victorious.

Today was Rickie Rays birthday and he celebrated in style by passing for over 600,000 yards joining an elite list of CFL greats including Anthony Calvillo and Henry Burris. Good game, Rickie. Happy Birthday.

If playoffs held today, with virtue of the Toronto win, Toronto would host the eastern final.

And most likely the 3rd place in west will be decided in final weekend with Edmonton @ SK.

Riders on the board first about half way through the 1rst Q. They're playing against the Als. DD was given a really nice tribute prior to the game - it was his first time back in Mosaic since being traded.

I'm glad they were good to DD. He's a class act, and he was really good with the Riders.

We owe him big time for getting us our last Grey Cup, Tec. He'll always have a special place in Rider Nation's hearts.

Riders ahead 14 zip with just over 4 minutes to go in the 1rst.

Montreal put 3 on the board early in the 2nd Q. Bridge came into the game to replace Kev - why I don't know - and promptly threw an interception that has injected some life into the Als. They were held to kicking a FG before the Riders were flagged for UR gifting the Als a 1rst D at the Sask 25. Rider D held and the Als have to settle for another FG. Score: 14 - 6

It is a measure of how poorly Montreal played, plus the number of penalties especially the 10 and 15 yarders they took, that the Riders won this game by 25 points (37 - 12) and did not play one of their better games. They too took some costly penalties, had a dropped ball at the goal line, were slow to get the running game going and generally did not look that sharp. Two bright lights on the night were Chad Owens who had 9 receptions for 114 yards and a TD, and Trent Richardson who rushed for 127 yards and 2 TDS.

Happy to take the win, our 10th of the season, but they are going to have to be on their game when they play Edmonton next week.

Lions hand the Hoovers a 36 - 27 loss today to win their first game in six attempts - mind you, Winnipeg lost both Matt Nichols and Andrew Harris to injuries during the game.

No prob, pete..................you should be easy to spot........... a real stand-out in the crowd. :p:lol:

Esks lead the Stamps 7 - 6 after two quarters of play. It took until midway through the 2nd Q for a score to go up on the board. The Stamps have been to the red zone twice and both times came away with a FG. Edmonton got a TD and the convert. Both teams look beatable tonight. Lots of dropped balls, high or wide passes, missed tackles and lack of total effort at times.

Probably the only time I will ever say this but Go Calgary. Next week is winner takes 3rd place regardless but if the Esks lose today, Riders would take 3rd with a tie.

Looks like Winnipeg has not clinched yet. A 3 way tie next week is possible for 2nd. Not sure who takes 2nd and 3rd in that scenario.

29 - 20 the final. A win for the Eskimos today. The Stamps barely showed up today. They've been slowly sliding downhill for several games now squeaking by with 1 or 2 point wins until they met their maker last week in the form of my Riders.

I'm hoping the Chris Jones will have the guys watching the tape of yesterday's game so many times that it replays in their sleep. The Esks are going to be hard to beat if they bring the same game they played against the Stamps to their one against the Riders. They are going to have to pay special attention to Reilly, making sure they get to him without committing a late hit. He will stand in the pocket till the last dog is hung in order to find an open receiver. He will take the hits. He will also take off with the ball. He's smart and he's wily but he can be pressured. The Esks D will also be a handful - purported to be the best in the league right now. I don't expect Kev will last long against them but I am hoping that Brandon will use his mobility to out-fox them.

I had the Als vs Cats game on but did not pay much attention as it was a totally one-sided effort from beginning to end. The Cats were slow to get started but once they gained momentum they never let up. Final score: 33 - zip

Right now the Bombers are playing the Stamps and are ahead 10 zip with just over 5 mins to go in the 2nd. Canadian QB Buckley is in for Bo Levi - though I don't know if that is by design or due to the injury he received last week. Make that 13 zip - Medlock is back on his game. Kicked a beaut of a 52-yarder that bounced in on off the goal post.

Dave told Sara Orlesky that 'the team isn't in a good space right now' and in answer to what the problems were - 'lots of them.' Still don't know why Bo isn't in.

I'll do my level best to try and spot you even if it means sitting directly in front of the screen. Please tell me you aren't painting your face.

Oh, oh.........Stamps just nabbed an interception.......could be just the spark they need.....they are in the red zone. Buckley is limping.......3rd and 5 and Buckley gets sacked...........they could have had at least 3 there. Seems like it isn't only the players with problems............some of the play calling is questionable at best. That spark was quickly put out.

Stamps decide to go with 3rd stringer, QB Rick Stanzi. He had a 30+ pass completion on his first CFL toss then unfortunately threw an interception on his second. Stamps trail the Bombers by 20 points with just over 12 to go in the final quarter. Similar to their last two games against Western teams, one of their biggest failures tonight is in the discipline department. This is really quite a turn-around from earlier in the year when they were the least penalized team in the league.

I think I can safely say the Bombers are going to take this one. Penalties and TOs were the main reason the Stamps did so badly tonight though truth to say the D sucked, the O was ineffective and STs were all but missing in action. There you go, they just committed their 7th TO of the game as I was writing.

Third game in a row where they failed to show up......I can just imagine the questions that Dave is going to have thrown at him after this fiasco.

vs

Exactly the way I feel right now. I am très nervous. This is for the cross-over. Win and we play the Bombers. Lose and we go East.

GO RIDERS...............GO!

We're down by 4 at half-time but managed to limit the Esks to a TD, FG and a single. Brandon came in and got us the TD.

There's still 9 minutes to go in the game and we are behind by 2 TDs and a 2-point convert. We've been taking costly penalties on almost every play and just gave up a fumble on a punt return..............I'd say my Riders are Eastward bound.
