Just a correction (took me a while, must be all the dead brain cells) but that contest in the US was for a Nintendo Wii I believe, around 300 bucks worth of game system, which makes the story that much more sad...
And a good time to post that article, DB, it's pure madness- in my area, the police budget is having problems as the force really wants to make a more robust "grow op bustin" force- every time a single plant turns up, the local news intones it in grave notes, alwasy trying to make it sound like danger has been averted- this last summer, some 60-ish year old couple were "busted" for a "grow operation" which amounted to SIX F-ING PLANTS in their GARDEN mixed amongst the tomatoes... glad grandma and grandma are behind bars where they belong, what would have happened if they'd harvested a few ounces of totally organic personal weed and maybe even ended up smoking it with their 60 year old friends???
Madness, a HUGE waste of money, but at least there's folks out there scared enough of their own f-ing shadows to keep on championing the idiotic cause
