You obviously didn't look at it, which shows we have been one of the best countries for meeting everyone's needs for decades now.

Cash grab is a term used by selfish people.

Cash grab is what is happening and insulting me just makes you look like a clown.

Tell me, where is the cash going?

Standard proposals for using carbon revenues include: return them to the public on a per-capita basis[d], use them in place of another tax (a tax swap), use them for energy research, or use them to subsidize renewable energy projects.[e]

Cash grab is as disingenuous a term as freeloader.

None of those things is in place.. This new money is going straight into General Revenues and theoretical justifications for this new taxation are just that ... theoretical.

Cynical

Tax

Grab.

It's not theoretical.

BC already does it and they account for the revenues annually.

You've already lost this one, sorry.

So, when does Ontario perform this magic, rich kid?

There is no plan announced, yet the money is already flowing into Queens Park.

I'm not rich.

Look for their annual report in 2018

Everything will be just fine.

Just like BC, which has had the best performing economy in the country since they began their carbon tax.

So as we've clearly shown, you have no evidence or reason for any of your claims.

People like you are what make the world a worse place because you give in to fear mongering and speculation about everything a government does.

Then all you need is a Rob Ford or Donald Trump to take advantage of you and legitimately fukk things up for a few years.

Yes, but conservatives will always feign shock to make it look egregious.

If anything, the increase is too mild.

Well MZ, you can pay my share since you seem to like it so much. It seems there isn t a tax you don t like. The anger and frustration
is about the fact that the tax not only affects the cost of living, but does NOTHING to improve what the government purports its supposed to do. At least be honest about what this is all about - wealth distribution and raising revenues. Then at least, we can have a common sense discussion about whether it makes any sense at all. Otherwise, it s a sham period.

How about you pay your fair share instead of asking others to do it for you.

That's how we do things in Canada.

Well, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. The impetus behind this tax is carbon emissions and climate change. It will have zero effect

BC already reduced emissions.

idiot.

You never have and never will.

BCs carbon tax is also a scam. Just look at the legislation. It is racist and applied unevenly. It is not balanced out by other tax cuts at the personal level with rural people as usual carrying far more than their share of the burden. More importantly it does nothing to cut emissions since most of the province has no alternative fuel source.

How about you pay your fair share instead of asking others to do it for you.

That's how we do things in Canada.

OK Where is my refund? A fair share means everyone pays the same amount of tax.

How much of my income is fair in your mind? Our household income is in the $200k range. What do you feel is a fair amount to give to the government?

No it was meant to show you how your post was nothing but hot air.

I wanted to keep it thematic so I chose something with gas.
