Ok -You've told me that we're destroying the country ( Afghanistan) for the bankers - well could you please tell me just who the Taliban are destroying that country for? I seriously want to know - I mean, they're the ones setting the IEDs and throwing acid into the faces of girls who just want to learn, so tell me - who exactly is destroying the country? Do you think that it's ok to kill people who just want to dive their families to medical clinics or their crops to markets Show me the bigger picture - I don't give a rat's patoot about the 'bigger picture'. Gerryh....the same innocent Afghani lives `saved` by another IED dug up and dismantled...(or stepped on and taking the lives of our Canadian puppets on the ground), well, those same innocent Afghans will more than likely, a short time later, get blown to pieces by cowardly US troops (hi eaglesnack) and their big bad 500 lb bombs, indiscriminately dropped from the air.
You know....wedding partys, schools, markets and the like.
Rather than put up an article off the internet, why don't you just say what you feel. Do you agree with our being there or didn't you - and why! I know that you've included it in posts but I want to see a 'clear' post. You just giving your pros and cons as you see it. No quotes, just you. I'll repeat - where is your condemnation for the people that set those bombs - and what they want to impose on over 50% of their population?

I applaud those countries that do their darndest to quell an invasion....their small-arms NOthing compared to the destruction by the invaders and their explosives.

This is getting really stupid. I don't believe the Afghanis make their own dynamite so it must be coming into the country by the train load, or ship load. These people don't have a pot to piss in but they have access to hundreds of tons of explosives. Where is it coming from? We should make the Afghan army responsible for all the dynamite in the country.

We should get the fuk out of that country and let them conduct their gov and people as it was. That move would let off a lot of steam right there.

Next look a lot closer at our own govs. intentions over there and elsewhere in those hot-spots.
