Trudeau’s state broadcaster is doxxing Trudeau’s political opponents. They’re teeing them up for financial punishments. This is not journalism, anymore than Der Sturmer or Pravda was journalism.
That's what happens when you lie to the public constantly. Did they really expect people to be happy when all they do is spew lies? Seriously?
How funny. The protest is over and they lost so, lets blame the media.

The irony is that this protest in Ottawa, The protesters could’ve walked away three weeks ago….& called it a win when the PM first went into hiding. Monday 01/31/22 morning they could’ve just declared a victory because they went there to talk to somebody and nobody was willing to recognize them as people.
Unfortunately for everyone, it played out this way instead. Now the can of worms that is the Emergency Measures Act has been opened, and like a tax, once it has been utilized, it will become normalized.
Think it depends on how much the EMA is used. If the Ottawa protest is over, the EMA can be revoked cause it's served it's use.
But.
IMO if the vote is for Tuesday, then those in BC for that gas line situation should be using it to the fullest they can.
Then not only would the EMA be 'useful', but it also takes away a talking point again from those against it since it's been used to do something proper.
I hear you. This whole retroactive use of deputizing the banks and other financial institutions, making it now illegal to donate to certain causes, that was legal a week ago, and proclaiming that people are going to be hunted down and punished for their donations to this convoy movement goat rodeo….. that’s really freaky. That’s the one that has me seeing it as Cringeworthy.
I’m just making assumptions at this point because I’m just some guy with a bit of free time on the weekend between shovelling and laundry and starting supper.
What happens if the banks or other financial institutions flag the wrong person or people? What recourse are these folks gonna have when their bank accounts are frozen? The banks and financial institutions HAVE to cooperate with the government and the RCMP and CSIS and so on and so forth in handing over records and freezing accounts and such…. But what responsibility do the banks and financial institutions have to their own customers that got caught up in this mess (whether or not they had anything at all to do with the protest or not)???
Then Yoinking the Commercial Drivers Licences & the Commercial Cargo and Liability Insurance and other recently dreamt up punishments to bankrupt families retroactively for decisions made before the government decided to change the rules? That’s got an odd stench to it for me too.
Imagine the government changing the laws on Monday about something random (I’m just using this for an example) that you do that is perfectly legal…. And then coming back after you because you did it two months ago whatever “it” is?? I know this seems so abstract but it’s how I’m picturing the above two punishments that the federal government is promising to inflict upon those that they believe are involved in this protest. I could be wrong and I hope that I am, but if I’m not, damn…
The Truckers for Stupid protest and the protesters lost. There's still lots and lots of mandates and True Dope is still PM.

So, weird question and not necessarily related to the post that I’m quoting, but respect your opinion with respect to legalities on the US side. I have somebody to bounce things off of with respect and legalities on the Canadian side, but this is more of an international question.

If the liberal party in the use of the emergency measures act actually does start freezing peoples bank accounts, and seizing assets, and what ever other retroactive draconian punishments they can think up tying back to banks and financial institutions…. I had to pause to take a breath…. What about Americans that donated to the GoFundMe platform that was organized with respect to this protest? Here comes my question.
Trudeau through Freeland has promised to pursue and punish those involved in funding this protest, aiding in abetting or what have you. How is this gonna affect American citizens in America?
I mean the big push initially before they came to this latest reaction was that this all had to be due to foreign interference, and they were even trying to blame Russia for a while before they settled on Trump and Trump supporters. do you think there’s going to be extraditions and seized assets in America due to this Canadian whatever it is???

Do want to clarify though, pulling plates, licences and commercial license was always available to the cops.
Oh and, the governments, at all levels and of all political stripes, change or add laws all the time. That seems to be their only job LOL
