Well as a Haley fan I'm excited about this, but as a fan of the show - it sets a weird precedent. I think the final show should really focus on the two that made it to the end, but I guess the show has evolved into a different beast and with them all going on the tour anyway...I don't know it will give them all something to promote...? I don't know. It's weird.

Are they all doing original songs on the finale? That will be strange. Sort of your votes don't matter, let the marketplace decide. Which I guess it does anyway... but then why the show at all?

I'm conflicted about it to be honest. This is a learning thing for Interscope too this year.. so I guess they'll see who they want to promote post-idol.

Hee, I like James. He does a million things all at the same time, but he's a nice dude. James compares his relationship with Jimmy to American Choppers. So funny. He wanted to be one of the contestants that didn't hold back. I like that..whatever the results - go for it kids, we'll love it or hate it, but put your soul into it.

I have not viewed American Idol since James Durbin was voted off. I will try Canadian Idol again but not the US AI anymore. The voting system must be changed so that one person can no longer vote 10 times. When the american bible-thumpers want to get rid of a contestant they tie up the lines through multiple voting. Christians are excessively judgmental people and I suspect their latest target was James Durbin. It didn't help him when he was the only one to not sing about Jesus or that J. Lopez told voters to vote for the females. I cannot bear watching the most talented young singers being forced out of the competition anymore so that is that for our household. No more American Idol for us.

RE James: He had a real problem with staying in tune when he was running all over the stage. I think that's the main reason he went. That and Journey. He just picked the wrong songs that week. Plus I don't think metal is a genre that has wide Idol viewer appeal compared to country. James had a lot of support so I don't think you can say that he was thrown to the lions for the Christians.

Although if his fans were only voting 10 times each - that might be the problem ;) I haven't voted for this show since CI went off air but even I slacker that I am voted more than 10 times if I really liked someone.

He'd be fun to see on tour I bet.

There's a charge (standard text message rates apply) for texting, but Facebook and landline phone votes are free. I think there is a limit on the facebook voting.

So two things.

Lee not performing on the show at the finale. I'm disappointed for him, it's unfair of idol.. but Idol is never fair so.. yeah. Sadz. I hope he still goes to the show.

Lauren's single is a retread Kristy Lee Cook song? And I thought Lee got shafted with the U2 cover last year..unfair see above..BUT I have to say I think Lauren would sing it better. SO NOT BUYING IT.. lol

Lee's appearance at a related Idol viewing party has also been canceled. Some people are speculating that he has been dropped by RCA or 19E or both 8O.

I wonder if they booked him for the radio thing instead of the finale and then he found out when he came back from Asia and pulled out? It seems bizarre that they can't spare 5 minutes for the guy on the finale. But yeah if it's Bono and the Edge and Gaga vs Lee getting time....I can see where they'd Ditch him. It's not very classy though.

I approve of the Taio Cruz random performance if only because it saved us from a bit of nonsense rambling from the judges.

Scotty. Or Lauren. Or Scotty. Honestly, they're kind of the same to me. I still think Scotty's going to win, while TPTB would probably prefer Lauren, hence trying to gain sympathy for her by talking about her vocals with the doctor. I don't think it'll be enough.

Oh and Scotty has to win for the Kristy Lee Cook Idol prediction is to finally come to completion, we were missing the ty in her name!

I think that dude with the guitar at the end won the night, wouldn't you say so?

Okay, going to watch Glee.

Yay, Kris's song on Glee (fits Matt way more than Kris himself too)! And yay for Klaine, I didn't think we would have Klaine in this episode and we had I love you's, awwww. *sigh*

I love you's all around :) I did really like the Moments we got between characters.... Next year my goal for them are actual story lines. but yay they're 12th!

yes happy that song is Matt's. ;) not that I dislike it.

As long as Glee gives me some entertainment and some Klaine, I'm content. Actual storylines are almost too much to hope for, LOL!

I'm "meh" on the Matt song. Mostly, I find it really cheesy, which is why I don't think it would be a good fit for Kris at all. LLWD is kind of a "message" song, but it doesn't come off as cheesy.

I think I'll go watch The Voice now, might as well finish this night off with one more TV show!

Since Lauren sang a Kristy Lee Cook song does that somehow fulfill the prophecy - or add to it, or something? It weird, anyway. All this Kristy Lee Cook stuff. I don't think "Scotty" really fulfills the prophecy, if you think about it. The FULL names - or at least the names they're known by - of the other guys are in her name. Kris (Kristopher), Lee (Leon), Cook. But I've always thought "ty" supposedly standing for "Scotty" was stretching things. The next winner should have been named "Tyler" or "Tyrone", and been nicknamed "Ty." (Though Scotty's middle name is Cooke, which is also weird.)

Anyhow, for some reason I thought he'd be part of some number tomorrow night, just because he had to attend meetings about the finale, but, it says here, just in the audience. Also, the Memorial Day concert will be for 300,000 people! "God Bless The USA," (country song) still seems like a weird choice, for Kris's talents (and it's not a good song, in my opinion. But I'm hoping he does something good with it. I mean, he has to). I thought he said in another interview it was "one of" the songs he was doing, but I guess not. I sincerely hope that Pia getting forced into the lineup didn't result in a song of his being cut.

Awwww! I loved Scotty's winning moment. I loved it *ahem* this BIG! LOL. Instead of singing his sappy song, he just went on to hug EVERYONE. Then he tried to catch confettis with his mouth. And then Lauren came and kissed him repeatedly on the cheek, sooooooo cute. I'll never buy your album Scotty, but I love you this BIG! (So many potential jokes with this song!)

Honestly, I'm glad he won. I like Lauren's voice better (I thought she would be eaten alive by Carrie, but their duet was actually very good), but I like Scotty better as a person. Good for you Scotty.

The rest of the show was entertaining. I would have taken maybe a little more of Haley, but hey, it's already a long enough show as it is. Poor Lee was sitting in the audience and at one point, Ryan was standing right before him.

I must say I'm not a Beyonce fan, but her solo performance left me mesmerized. SO good. The song was "meh" but the performance was stellar.

I also really liked the guy who sang with Bono and The Edge, I assume he plays Spiderman in the musical. Did they say his name? He had a lovely voice. And he looked like Kris a bit, I almost though it was Kris at first.

Another season over!
