So you didn't go to balloon fest eh?

Nope! I would have needed a car anyway, since it's like 45 minutes from Montréal. I probably would have found a way if it had been Kris. Not for Adam.

Who is this joker who calls MITM a "mess"?

I clicked on his Kris video of Is It Over and it sounded amazing. I can't believe how people just sit there talking. I want to kill them.

I listened to most of the video that this guy had of Kris. Nice! (Did you see his comments? He's "got to admit" that Kris's voice sounds better live than on his CD. Not bad when an artist sounds better live, right?

It's nice to have video. Sideways, even.

OMG. Look at what is listed for Kris's album, in his VH1 profile.

Kris Allen | Music Artist, Videos, Photos, News, Ringtones, Album and Movie Info | VH1.com

Here's a video from the thread on MJ's. The second half is Kris doing photos with fans. Interesting how they have him behind a fence (same thing as when I saw him). Can't help notice Kris has a lot of attractive female fans. I noticed the same thing at Mixfest. I mean most of his girl fans tend to be nicely groomed and they don't look like "crazy" fans, either. And, well, they're...attractive.

YouTube - Kris Allen @ Indiana State Fair 2010

ETA: I have a question. The Kris fan who calls herself "Elliegrll" on MJ's blog is so consistently negative, I'm beginning to wonder if she isn't a troll. Have you considered this possibility? I mean, she's either a troll who has the subtlety to come across as a believable Kris fan, or else she's just the most negative, buzz-killing Kris fan on the internet.

As much as I like Adam, I know the feeling. Cause I didn't go see him either. oops!

Seriously, VH1, Seriously? Kris Allen and the Southern Thunder? You've met Kris, you know what he looks like... honestly.

If a guy is looking to meet girls, I think the barricades at Kris's concerts might be the place to be. LOL! :) What I noticed from this video was how nice to everyone Kris was. He wasn't rushing through, he stopped and let everyone take a photo that wanted one with him.

More Jack and Diane (I love this song.. never enough for me)

Okay, maybe I'm paranoid. There's just something odd about how she appeared one day, sort of full-fledged, making expert-sounding pronouncements that usually seem intended to dampen enthusiasm. Lately, I've noticed how when someone says (let's say), "The Truth is #18 on HAC," she will post (let's say), "No one likes this song. It was a mistake to release it. It only gets played at 3 am." And then if I post, "No, I just heard it three times this week in prime time." She'll come back with, "I doubt that. Where did you hear it?" I mean, it's hard to see how that differs from the stuff trolls post.

Seems Jive/19E still have the fans angry at them. I'm in my office so I haven't watched the second teaser but the comments on KAO are pretty telling.

I'm a little disappointed but really, am I going to get angry because a video is two days late coming out? These people need to get angry about something that actually matters.

I think the comments were refering to more stuff too. I think it's because stuff keeps accumulating that people are complaining (the delay in announcing the second single, the filming of the video for said single that happened two months after the single was released, and now the delay and the lack of information about the release of the video).

I agree it's the accumulated stuff that's frustrating people so much. It's like an ongoing battle. (The bios that are wrong, the Kris Allen and the Southern Thunder links, THE STUPID iTUNES PASS - which still pisses me off, and the lack of info on KAO) Even just looking at Jive's Twitter.. No picture of Kris on there (Or Allison) and the tone for the tweets about David Archuleta's new video seems so much more excited. It's frustrating no doubt about it.

Now that being said Jive never said that the video would be premiering today, Kris and Lizzie told some fans maybe Monday, but there was no official published date was there? They could have headed the anger off by just giving the date right away. So maybe it all comes back to lack of information coming from KAO.

And the sky in the video looks way cool.

Okay, maybe I'm paranoid.

Or, not. I skim a lot of stuff, so maybe I just didn't process what you saw.

(poor farting Idol girl - I remember that well - never saw Ken Lee that one was new - LOL)

I don't know. I suppose I just come from a different era, when regular people had no input in record labels' decisions, and things like that. I can't get used to everyone considering themselves authorities on subjects they know nothing about. Why should somebody who probably works at McDonald's tell a record company exec how to do his/her job? Do they really know better? This is my problem with it.

Now that being said Jive never said that the video would be premiering today, Kris and Lizzie told some fans maybe Monday, but there was no official published date was there?

Kris tweeted that it would be added to VH1's lineup today. So that was wrong, if people assumed that meant it would premiere today.

As for the Kris Allen Southern Thunder link, that wasn't Jive's fault, after all.

Who knows? Certainly fans have a different perspective on things. Jive is privy to a lot of information that fans will just never get. I don't really think they're out to get Kris or anything. They want to make money too afterall. SO yeah, fans may not know everything they think they do. Sometimes you wonder though.. lol

As for the Kris Allen Southern Thunder link, that wasn't Jive's fault, after all.

No you're right - stupid VH1 - and various radio stations. It's just adding to the pile of perceived slights, real or imagined which makes the fans go bananas and start tweeting crazy things to record labels. (I haven't tweeted any record labels BTW)

Okay change of topic. Who knew Justin Gaston was so fashion forward? Adam's got ugly lace-up pants too.

Yay! @KrisAllen’s “The Truth” will be on VH1 starting 2morrow! Check KrisAllenOfficial.com for news about the ONLINE PREMIERE!

I don't use Last.fm so I don't completely know what this means, but it's interesting and positive for Kris.

So Kris has been good at "scrobbles." Holy crap, has he! Whatever they are. Quiet storm, baby, quiet storm.

Yeah of course you're both right, the fans could tell Jive a few things. I'm sure. I have nothing against this, either. I do have a problem with people getting angry at a label when maybe there are valid reasons for things being done a certain way, that we're not privy to (and maybe shouldn't be?) Like: it's kind of easy to see why a second single wasn't announced sooner when they were probably debating/working out the whole adding-Pat-to-the radio-edit thing. Maybe they were even waiting for Hey Soul Sister to be released first. Not that any of this would be my idea of great, but, whatever.

Or you could postulate that they didn't announce a second single because they thought LLWD would be a smaller hit and it just kept going. I mean, it was still the #1 song on that SF station the other day. So, to those people in SF, it's apparently still a relatively new song.

I don't know. This stuff makes my head hurt.

Adam's press is not always factually correct, either (from the article attached to that pic you linked to, SleepinIn).

Adam's debut album Take One was released in November 2009 and he is currently on tour round the US and Canada alongside his idol competitors Allison Iraheta and Orianthi.

Go vote for this:

And Idolsnow just tweeted that it's going up the AC chart!

I laughed at that article. Take One was huge here.. HUGE.. yeah right.

And what place did Orianthi come in again? ;)

LMAO - voted. Kris has 95% of the vote and Chris Daughtry has the other 5%! That's nuts. No one else cares about these stupid polls.

Stupid polls!!! Tell that to the Glamberts and see how long you live.

And Idolsnow just tweeted that it's going up the AC chart!

That's nuts. However, that's possibly good because it might be some free publicity for The Truth.

I got stung by, like, 10 bees today.

are you okay? Bee stings hurt.. and 10...ep! You're not allergic? No problems other than pain?

Well, AC charts.. they last forever and not many folk listen to them. But, still it's good news.

Yes, I was hurting. I took some Benadryl when it happened. I think the one on my left calf left the stinger in me, because it feels like it. Stings/itches.

It happened when I was eating my lunch by the lake as usual, and I ... it's hard to describe. I was eating broccoli out of one of those plastic containers, and I had a little left over, so I went to throw it (broccoli) into this bucket, but I ended up throwing the container itself over the bucket and into some bushes on the edge of the lake. So I went to retrieve it (on the ground) and I couldn't reach it, so I stuck my foot in to try to push it back towards me. Then I thought thorns were pricking me. Then I realized it was bees. So I started running away with a lot of them following me and still stinging me, and I went to get in my car, and a couple of them flew into the car, so I couldn't get in. So I ran around getting stung, then they stopped and I went back to the car. The coast was clear and I got in, but there must have been a bee on the seat because I got stung on the hip where I guess my skin was exposed from the way I sat.

OUCH!!!

There are actually a few bees' nests in the ground over there by the lake. I've seen them. I just thought they were ant hills. Now I know they aren't.

Anyhow, then I had to go back to work. I went home first quick to get the Benadryl and some aspirin.

I never did get the container, by the way. Stupid container probably costs a dollar. I don't think I needed it that bad.

So is The Truth going to be coming out tomorrow? What do you think the reason was for the delay (if it was a delay)? I guess Jim C. has seen it.

(there were a lot of folk there for CSA)

Gee, the crowd didn't exactly go crazy for his entrance, did they?

When you watch those Keith-Kris videos, Keith seems much more animated than Kris. I noticed when I was watching Switchfoot (at Mixfest) that Jon Foreman is really big and energetic onstage. Kris seems a little too reserved, sometimes - for a big crowd. he isn't, but I think you need to exaggerate your gestures for a large audience.

The thing I feel kind of bad about for Kris is that after his set he has to hang around through Keith's whole show in order to do the encore. I mean it's great he gets to do the encore, but it's hard to wait around after you're done, when you could be going out to eat, or something. Then when you do come back on you have to bring your energy level up again.

I thought about this because it's a little like when you're in a play, and you're only in the first scene or two, but you have to hang around every night through the entire play, because there's the curtain call. I don't think audiences ever realize this stuff.

Bee stings are awful, I haven't been stung in awhile, but 10 at one time sounds so painful. For me 10 bee stings = going home from work. I would not have gone back.

Gee, the crowd didn't exactly go crazy for his entrance, did they?

I wouldn't expect them to really since they probably only have the slightest idea about his music or even who he is, although Kris actually performed with Keith on Idol so at least they know that.

I'm wondering how the Maroon 5 dates are going to go.. eep! You know when you said Kris still needs to perform bigger I was thinking that myself... I was actually thinking Keith and Brian Nutter have lots of hair to swing around, :) I think that kind of thing just comes with experience, and comfort level. Kris is really comfortable at his own headlining shows they're just smaller in scale. But he's got a stage comfort level there that's still developing in the bigger shows.

And yeah, it's got to be hard hanging around, but who'd want to miss singing with Keith? :) I have to say Keith has really set the touring partner bar high. He's been excellent to Kris.

Here's hoping Adam Levine matches it. These concerts will be interesting too because Maroon 5 and VV Brown are really more in Kris's genre.

Also did you guys see the tour rider? They're such diva's. LOL http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstage/american-idol/kris-allen

Ouch, bees! I hope you're okay ross.

So, I went to see Theo tonight. Quite the adventure. Weird evening. First of all, it was pretty sad. There was nobody in the room. The three bands/artists played in front of like 15 people. I'm not even kidding. I'm sure they didn't make any money out of that evening in Montréal.

The first band that played is a band from Winnipeg called the Afterparty. They said that they're 8 usually, but tonight, they were only 3, a singer/guitarist, a percusionist and a saxophonist. I bought their CD, they were good (more on that later).

Then Theo came on (he was supposed to play last, but since the few people who were there came to see Theo, he played before, in case people wanted to leave early). Actually, he was hanging in the venue while the first band was playing. He was with Katherine St-Laurent, remember her? A couple from Québec City went to see him before he got on stage, the woman got something signed and her husband took pictures of her with Theo. I was like, cool, he's really friendly, I'll go talk to him after the show.

His set was pretty short. It seems he's actually moved on from his first album already, since he didn't play anything from that album. He played 4 new songs (I really liked them), and 3 covers. He did Regina Spektor's "Samson", which made me happy, I love that song. He also did Serena Ryder's "Weak In the Knees" and Missy Higgins' "Where I Stood", which is an amazing song, but I don't think he did it justice exactly. Actually, I don't think he was 100% vocally. When he sounded good, he sounded amazing, really. But there were lots of bum notes, which really really surprised me.

The last band, StereoGoesStellar, then played, and it was okay. The guys had energy like they were playing in front of 1000 people, which was clearly not the case. It just wasn't my kind of music and the singer had a voice that I'm not a big fan of.

Anyway, after the show, I got up, but before I had a chance to reach him, the couple from Québec were with Theo once again and even if I stood there, they pretty much acted as if I wasn't there at all waiting to talk to Theo. They left after some minutes and I said hi to Theo and that I loved his new songs. He asked me my name, he was nice. Then Katherine joined us and it's as if I didn't exist anymore. So, I said a quick goodbye and I left. Anyway, I'm not pissed or anything, because I'm not one to think that artists should necessarily take time to talk with their fans after a show, but I admit I was kind of taken aback right there on the spot, he had seemed so friendly earlier. Not that he was rude to me, but anyway.

Then to come back to the first band, on my way out, I saw them and I asked the singer for a CD. I had a 20, so he was running around trying to find change. I already had his CD in my hands, so when he came back, I gave him my 20 and he gave me my change... and he took the CD. I was like, dude? I thought he was joking, but no, he was really confused, LOL. He gave me back the CD, but it was still really weird. They didn't seem that thrilled that I was buying their CD either. It better be good!

But, seriously, I was shocked that it was that empty. I can't imagine that these bands were not expecting more people to show up.

I'm sure you both probably saw it, but woot! Kris Allen – “The Truth” – Music Video Premiere! | mjsbigblog

It's kind of cool. I like the parts with the lights after the bridge and the fall off the piano. The lighting is great. The rest is okay. Kris looks good, the unfortunate jacket aside. When Pat came in, I saw the black t-shirt and I thought, "oh better choice, Kris", then I realized it was actually Pat. Ugh. He's a weird addition to the song, but, if it's possible, he's an even weirder addition to the video. Bye Pat.

I'm curious to see the better quality video though, maybe the effects will be more spectacular.

I did some research (on my stings) and they were yellowjackets, which are actually wasps.

Anyhow, I'm okay, just that a couple of the bites are itching like mad, now. Like, want to jump out of your skin itchy. I guess this is typical. Anybody know any good home remedies?

That's interesting about Theo. Considering you waited to talk to him, and there wasn't a big crowd waiting, or anything, I think he could have given you a bit more attention. Mitch might sing off key but I bet he would have talked more to you! lol

The video. I had to watch it in a hurry, and then I read the usual annoying/stupid MJ's blog comments.

The jacket stands out, to me. I hate it. Other than that, the video has some amazing parts and some okay parts. Not really any bad parts. I think he looks short in the video, due to being in a huge, vast space. I don't know if that flatters him. The jacket is still the jacket and I don't get who thinks it's good looking. Especially when Kris looks good in a t shirt.

I think it's an expensive-looking video and it's better than a lot out there. As you can see I'm not in love with it. But I like it.

I still think Kris needs to do a video that represents who he is as a performer. The Script did a live-on-film version of Breakeven as well as their video, and it was shown on VH1. I wish Kris could do that. I'd like his next video to be filmed onstage, with the band. Even though I know that probably can't happen because they're not on the recording. But I'd much rather see a video of him lost in the music and rocking out, rather than acting for the camera, which is not really who he is.
