Also, he apparently wants to replace all of the judges, which would be totally fine by me.
He also wants only three judges. I don't know how I feel about that. I was happy AI went to four judges. I can't explain why. I was used to four, on CI, I guess, but also I think it's just more variety of opinions and tastes
You know, I agree with your points, but one thing I never understood is why people got so upset about the show running over. It's a show, not a train. Are people's lives on such draconian schedules that they can't take five or ten extra minutes to watch a show, if it's running a little over? (Oh, I know - Tivo. Well, tough.) People are so used to everything on TV being on tape/film, and therefore, timed to the millisecond, they just aren't used to live TV, which is a little unpredictable. I like that it's unpredictable.
Can you guys explain to me what you mean by more focus on the judges (since I didn't see season 7, or prior seasons)? I think I've asked this before. Other than the judges doing their critiques, and some banter with Ryan, how did the show focus too much on the judges? Maybe it's just that there are four judges?
But he did say he was a fan of all the people who were left. That includes Kris. (even if he didn't mention him)
Well, it was kind of obvious he wasn't numero uno on the list. lol. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be anti-Brit particulary it's just that my gut reaction to him is, strangely, kind of negative (even though he's likeable), as he seems so "establishment" with his double-breasted suit and love for big Idol voices. Does he really seem like he's going to make Idol bold, fresh, new, and exciting? I don't know. But he's probably better than Ken Warwick -- is that who he'd be replacing (didn't read the article)?
