Yeah, John is pretty boring on stage. The guy is probably better with his a cappella group where he can interact and play with the others. The vocals were not too good either.

I'm resolutely "meh" on Casey. Seriously. The dude leaves me completely cold. I'll give him that he's a really good guitar player, but I don't see anything about him that makes me go wow. And he sounded really nasally tonight. Not a fan. I don't hate him, but I don't see anything special about this guy at all.

Alex Lambert.

Well, to me, anyhow, this kid is kind of amazing. I have been liking him from the start and I really liked that. I just like how he's simple and honest, I like listening to him and there is no bullsh-t.

What I think is weird, though, if I may bring Kris into this...those judges just said better things to Alex than I think they said to Kris all friggin' season, and Kris is freakin' brilliant. So what is up with that, peeps? (Okay, Simon did say Kris was brilliant once.)

And speak of the devil, here is his commercial.

Okay, I really like quirky little Alex Lambert. I enjoyed his tone last week, and still really enjoyed it this week (loved it even), but also, the guy has an endeering vulnerability on stage and it works (Oh, gosh, now I sound like Jake Gold and his obsession with "vulnerability").

Todrick Hall.

I don't think he's too great a singer. And he's perhaps being thrown under the bus.

Yeah, the bus came for Todrick (before his past as a scammer becomes too big of a story maybe?). The thing is unlikable Todrick almost became likeable when he was getting ripped by the judges. But I can't disagree with them. Why did they put him through though? Only because of his audition? The guy is just not good enough.

Jermaine Sellers.

I think I'll go listen to Kris's version of this song after the show is over. To sort of cleanse the palate.

How much you want to bet nobody mentions Kris sang this great last season?

I don't dislike Todrick. To me, he's likeable. I'm not sure I believe the scam stories. He doesn't seem like a con artist or a bad guy. But I think he's history, anyhow.

Wow, you're right about that. Jermaine is extremely unlikeable. And awful. Did he bring God into this? Dude, no. "Leave Right Now" Jermaine, I won't miss you. AT ALL.

The guy has to leave. Can we anti-vote for him. Do. Not. Want.

Haha. Tell us how you really feel. (I agree with you completely.)

Andrew Garcia.

Ow. Ow. My ears. Wow, that was off key the whole song.

Yeah, Andrew sounded bad tonight. He kind of took the rhythm out of that song as well. Not good.

Still, the judges are confusing. Last week, he did something unexpected and they told him it wasn't good, this week, he just sang, and the jugdes told to do something unexpected.

I know I shouldn't expect consistency from the judges, but still, I can question what they say.

Andrew probably lost a lot of momentum with that performance.

Aaron Kelly.

Nothing against Aaron, I guess, but I actually fell asleep during that. Like, for a couple of seconds. I didn't really miss any of it. So I can still critique it.

Well, I guess he has a soothing voice, for sure. He's okay. I'm not really overly fond of his voice. I don't think it's the "great voice" the judges keep saying it is. I think it's a good voice, not great.

ETA: He's likeable. He's not an Arculeta or an Allsion, he's not a teenage marvel. He's just not that hugely talented, in my opinion, but I think we'll be seeing him around for a while.

Okay, big props to Aaron for not pretending to like Justin Bieber.

LOL! That's what I was going to say as well. He should be given one vote because of that.

Other than that, I felt like the judges (minus Simon) were asked to pimp him, because he didn't sound good and he doesn't have that great a voice. He's less pagenty than Archie or Katie Stevens, but it felt a bit like he was doing "amateur competition" at the mall tonight, not American Idol.

Tim Urban.

I don't find him sincere. If I was around him, I'd watch my back. Don't know why I have that strong a reaction.

Alex should sing this song. But Tim shouldn't. He's not a singer, I don't really know what he's doing there. His sense of rhythm is terrible.

I didn't get Ellen saying he should act, even though he has no charisma or stage presence. That would be interesting!

Oh-oh. Simon gave him a good critique? This is so staged! The three gave him bad reviews and then Simon disagrees? They want him to stay. Why?

I really, really dislike him. He seems like one of those "lucky" people who have no brains, talent, or skills, and aren't really sincere, who get everything. Know what I mean?

I don't dislike him. He's just uninteresting to me, even though I approve of his Matt N. song choice... though Matt does that song with so much heart and soul (and you know, sexy), that you can't compare the two. I think the judges were told to trash him, which didn't really fit, since he was better than last week, but he's jsut a whole bunch of nothing.

Did you hear the little girls scream before he even started singing... they love him. For whatever reason. Probably the same reason they love Bieber.

Lee Dewyze.

I notice they're giving him the lighting changes Chris Sligh talked about.

Um...that was okay.

When he starts babbling, he sounds so much like Danny Gokey. Speaking of Danny Gokey, Gokey has a better voice, I think. But I like this guy better.

I don't really like the rough voices much. But he's good, he's just still pretty pitchy.

Well that was much pimpage -- from Simon, especially

I'm kind of surprised you think the judges were told to trash him, since what they said was exactly what I thought! I don't think being better than last week is necessarily the point, if you still happen to suck a lot.

Because he's cute in that teen idol kind of way. Have you see the shirtless pic of him that's been floating around the internet? He's more studly than Bieber.
