I know you know. I know that you know that I know what you know. And I find it peculiar. Then again, Alex had the pimp seal of approval. And he isn't on in the same season as Adam. And even if he were I don't think he has the brilliance to threaten Adam. Picture an Adam-Alex finale.

Thanks for the Hedley clip! So this was on NBC (acc. to missaddicted)? I can't picture it somehow.

It made me think of Jacob and his big dreams and ambitions. How he went from his old band, playing clubs in Abbotsford, to this. In only five years -- kind of incredible.

ETA: Cha Ching is "lesser" Hedley, to me. Their last album was in some ways more to my liking than this one. Old School and FTNICR and Never Too Late.

They cut the feed on NBC to air one of their new shows, but apparently they went back to show those performances after 11:30 pm. We got those performances live in Canada.

It's pretty incredible all right. Cha Ching is lesser Hedley to me too. I would have liked them to sing Old School, or the Sweater Song. Or For the Nights I Can't Remember. Or even Perfect.

I guess we talk about the feed a lot because it interupts us a lot. Since we get so much American programing aired in prime time the US feed is pre-empted by the Canadian Station that bought the program. Which we call simulcasting. So they show the same program, but we get the Canadian feed, so Canadian commericals, and Promos. For something like the Olympics where they both have unique programming, we get both NBC and CTV (or whoever in the Olympic Consortium in Canada) and they show the same stuff essentially but there are slight changes, like camera angles or cuts to athletes. NBC did air Hedley because I switched over to the NBC feed for the re-broadcast. They cut away at certain times to show the athletes, which is understandable since they had no idea who Hedley was, but they played most of it. And not only is it incredible that they played to like 60, 000 in the stadium.. but yeah, NBC, and the WHOLE REST OF THE WORLD. OMG! Crazy large potential audience. And no matter what even if people didn't know them.. like how cool is that? There are only a handfull of people in the world that have played at an Olympic ceremony.

What do you think? Drew? Or Ryland? This is what consumes me.. lol

Oh, okay! Thanks for that explanation. Here they just give us our east coast programming and unless we have a satellite dish we don't pick up any other programming. So we don't know from this or that feed. Interesting.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking whether that was Drew or Ryland? Since we really couldn't see who it was?

Or are you asking if I like Drew or Ryland better? Since (just from the playing), that sounded to my ears like Ryland.

Um, this is hard, because Ryland is my buddy, he talked to me, for cryin' out loud. (And I'm never gonna let you forget it! lol) He was such a nice guy. But I think I prefer Drew. Because the beat (if that was Ryland) was just plodding, there, for instance. Then again, Drew is somewhat generic. Mechanical. But he has a lighter, faster touch that I like.

Ryland can't be bad, though, I mean he has a pretty good pedigree.

Remember I had that argument on MJ's blog with that poster who complained that Ryland wasn't doing a great job? I don't know if that may have influenced my thinking, a bit.

What was with that CSA performance? Kris didn't seem like his usual funky self on that one? [ETA: Never mind -- I know why. He had the guitar. He didn't move around the stage -- which I guess I still miss.]

And I hate when they call Kris "former American Idol" -- which actually happens a lot. Taylor Hicks is a "former American Idol." Kris is the (current) "American Idol." At least for a little less than three more months.

I saw a few numbers quickly.

999,000!!! For LLWD. One thousand short of platinum!

46,000 for Let It Be. If my count is good, that means around 60,000$ for Haiti and IGB, wow!

(BTW, they could have made more if it had been sold in Canada... just sayin'.)

7,000 albums sold during the week. Increase of 66%. I admit I kind of expected more. Why can't he sell more albums? People, buy his album, it's great!!

Also, if Crystal is still too sick to perform tonight, she'll be disqualified. I hope she's okay. Season 9 without her would be very disappointing, in my opinion.

I noticed 46,000 for Let It Be, and 64,000 for LLWD. But Let It Be was at #8 or 9, and LLWD was, what, like, 15 or 16? So why did he sell more of LLWD? Is the 46,000 some kind of mid-week figure?

1,000 short! Yay - go Kris. And just think those people that might have boosted him to platinum chose to buy the album instead, so I'm actually okay with that. I didn't expect huge increases, because it seems like for those he needs to sell the physical CD and not the Itunes version. I knew it would go up, hoped it would be by more, but oh, well. I wanna know what the issue with the album selling is too. It's a really good album. Is it lack of stock? Or the lack of buzz? The fact that Adam pretty much created a buzz vacuum with his exit from the show? Danny's should get a good boost for his album, eh? Appearing on the show the week of release.

and LIB did great too. And I wonder why they didn't sell it in Canada? I also wonder if they will pull it after the month. So only have it available for a month. Which is crazy.

I feel bad for Crystal, and I agree season 9 without her will take a hit but, there was no guarantee that she would continue to be great either. It's not a sprint it's a marathon, and more than one early fave lost the plot later on.

As for albums, I know what you're saying, missaddicted, "Why can't he sell more albums?" -- But, he did sell more albums this week. I guess not as many as people would have liked, probably, but I tend to be glad Kris is still selling albums and that when he appeared on TV he got a bump. (And after all, he wasn't on TV to publicize himself, and didn't sing anything from the album.)

I'm glad his album is high on the iTunes list (which is pretty good publicity every time anyone looks on the iTunes album chart...even if itunes doesn't count for a huge % of sales), and then he's high up on the iTunes singles chart, too. I can't complain.

By the way, did you see those numbers for Ingrid Michaelson? Just because her song was performed on Idol? Something like a 444% increase? If only Kris could perform one of his own songs on Idol, huh? Even when the small bit of AWM is heard on his commercials, it sells on iTunes.
