Actually, I don't blame the label for the promotion they did around the date of the record release. He did do some pretty good promo during that time. I just think The Last Goodbye didn't do that well on the radio, so that's why maybe the sales are not that good. But what I meant was that, after the record was released on June 28, he kind of disappeared for the months of July and August. The tour was supposed to be announced at the beginning of September, but we're still waiting. It's kind of getting late to announce a fall tour. I know some of his bandmates have kept busy during that time, recording their own projects, recording and touring with another band, Kyle had a baby a couple of weeks ago, so yeah, maybe they didn't have time to rehearse. I don't know, maybe I'm getting too much used to what the indie or smaller bands are doing, which is being on tour and on the road pretty much all the time. Still, I'm not sure who's to blame for this, but being M.I.A. for the two months and a half following your record release seems like a weird move to me. Especially when that artist had been M.I.A. for like a year and a half before that while he was in the studio.
For example, Matt Nathanson released his album on June 21, a week before Cook. This summer he did a lot of radio shows and stuff like that and for the last few weeks, he's been on tour with Maroon 5 and Train, even though his own headlining tour will only start a few weeks from now.
Thanks for posting the National Anthem. I haven't even watched it yet, will do later or tomorrow.
