Yes, MTV thing is online. Check Jim's twitter, he'll post a link I think or someone will.

So far, I didn't mind the teens, 15 or not. For teens they're not obnoxious, but give them time. LOL

The judges so far are kinda funny.

Ryan wearing the plaid.

Burping guy wearing the plaid. (How is it you can look at people - like this guy - and tell, beforehand, they can't sing?)

Begging girl from Springfield, MA. Ugh. I hate her.

I hate sixteen-year-old perky-perky-perky girl more.

Well, anytime they bring up your burping problem, you kind of assume it's not going to be a good audition.

Begging girl is crazy. She's gonna scare some folk in Hollywood week. She's kinda scaring me now.. her singing wasn't bad though, go figure. lol

Zorro has so many toyz. :) :)

Begging girl could sing but in a way she wasn't really a singer - kind of like Tatiana. You need to have discipline, as well. And your personality shouldn't be scary...

Zorro...Kris and Katy are funny. Kris's tweet about Friends cracked me up as well.

Have you been reading Alex's tweets? Poor Alex. He's kind of lost - feel bad for him. Maybe I'm a sap.

Okay, I like this girl singing Endless Love - even though the song and her singing and her outfit make me think it's 1987. This is the first person who had any personality come through in his/her singing.

YES! Thank you! That's who she reminded me of.

I feel bad for him too. He's annoying as all heck sometimes, but I like him anyway. From listening to him talk about his life (from the dream house) I know he came from a family that doesn't have a lot of money or opportunities, he's young and he doesn't have a great support system. I hope he can figure things out for himself because he's a talented guy.

But, Holy teens batman. So many teenagers.

Alex is talented but can you say...social skills? can you say, "entitled"? But he needs to go home or find some way to get off the streets of LA - some way that's legal/moral, that is.

The kid from the Bronx is really good. I'm not sure why, whenever they have a subtle type of singer, they act hesitant. They pass them through, but (maybe it's my imagination) they pass through the big divas with a lot more enthusiasm, or something. But it may just be the quieter way they react to quieter singers?

Okay, time to watch Cantiello...

Aaargh, the sound is out of synch.

Steven Tyler was good - he seemed nice, for one thing - but I don't quite know why people are raving about him, like he is the most outrageous thing ever. I like that he's himself, and that's it - he doesn't care. Kara, take note. (Maybe Kara was herself. Sad.)

Where Idol is concerned I think people like Jim overdo the praise and the criticism of everything. But he has to be entertaining, I guess.

You guys, what is happening with Slezak? What's he going to do? Where's he gonna be?

Hahaha! Kris is hilarious.

Ah, he has Melinda on.

I've always had a soft spot for Steven Tyler. He's crazy in a good way, he knows who he is, and he wasn't trying too hard. (like Kara - you're right - Kara was painful times) He's pretty outrageous IMHO. But so far he has heart too which is important.

Slezak is at tvline.com and he said that he and Jason will be doing some sort of video - yay!

Kris WAS funny!! :) Love that guy.. if you hadn't noticed.

Brendan Kennedy on now.

I guess I'm not that invested in Idol because I'm getting bored. How long does this show go on? Hopefully Matt will liven it up.

Yeah - I like Steven too. I mean, in Boston we're kind of used to him. Maybe that's why he doesn't seem outrageous to me.

I'm probably not going to watch any more of this. Need to do other things.

S. Tyler is going to have good sense - he's a seasoned pro, he's been on the road forever. What hasn't he seen? We thought Idol needed younger judges - maybe they needed an older one?

It's a lot of talking for the first show of the year. But I wanna see my season 8 peeps. Actually 2 hours is too long for an audition show too to be honest. I'd edit that sucker down.

Yeah, but two hours mean two hours' worth of commercials and therefore more money.

Adam Lambert is a "superstar." (Jim.) They've been calling him that since he was on Idol and he still isn't a superstar. (No offense to his fans. Just the truth.)

Okay, I just finished watching Idol (my PVR was full, so had to watch other stuff before Idol, to be able to record the whole 2 hours of Idol, LOL).

I think I've forgotten all the contestants already. Did they say they had a lot of talent this year? I didn't see it tonight anyway. I think the only two I remember is Caleb, the first guy they showed, and Travis, the guy from the Bronx. All the teenage girls we saw already seem like they are one and the same.

I liked both JLo and Steven. It was at least refreshing not to see Simon there. Or Kara. Both seemed more true to themselves than either Simon or Kara ever were. They didn't seem to be trying too hard. And since the focus was on them, we saw less of Randy (and no one billion, trillion percent!!!). And I want JLo's makeup.

Didn't catch Jim's show.

Oh, some other random things.

Taylor is still the Idol-that-never-was. They had pictures of all the other Idols in the room. But none of him. He wasn't even hiding behind a plant.

They added pictures of Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson and Adam in the opening credits, in addition to the winners. Heh. I think it should be reserved to the winners.

Maybe they'll repeat the show?

When I watch the auditions it reminds me how many people there are and how one comes out on top. I respect every one of the nine who have done it. What they must go through I doubt we can even imagine. It must give them a lot of confidence to know they were the one to win it all.

Was he really missing? What did he do to them? lol. They featured him a lot on the special, though.

I do, too. Wonder who decided that? lol. I never liked how they added Jacob to the opening credits of CI, either. And I love Jacob. The Idols belong there, the others don't.

(And where was Clay? I want Clay! And Archie! Tsk.)

Another Season! Promising talent from New Jersey tonight! A couple of really promising 16 year olds. Good for them! I love the audition episodes. I like the new judges so far...

Judges are ALL too nice and let through lame people. The show really needs someone like Simon who can say harsh things like 'okay that was horrible'. It was dull, and not a lot of really good talent :sad4: .
