Wow, passed La Roux? Cool!

I meant to say that Much has been airing an edited version of their live stream from the MMVA's on TV with some talk about what went on behind the scenes.

That clip with Jacob where he pulled his shirt up and sat down with Whitney and Liz before their group interview was due to a dare from another host at Much. Trevor Boris (who is also the head writer for the award show) apparently dared him to do it.

(still thinking about your post of the day... don't agree with that person)

Don't think about it too long or too hard! I posted a response to that comment about those teens who text-vote not buying the winner's music later. I said something like: thank goodness all those elderly people in nursing homes bought 1.5 million copies of LLWD.

Anyhow, isn't it funny how we're not teens and we seem to enjoy Kris Allen and people like that? What is wrong with us? Are we immature? Here I was, all along, thinking that he had "actual" talent. Guess I was mistaken. I guess it's some kind of talent substitute. Kind of like Splenda.

I didn't see the clip where Jacob pulled his shirt up. But since when does Jacob need to be dared to remove his clothes?

OH! I almost forgot. I just went grocery shopping. I left, then I went back for something, and guess what music was playing? Live Like We're Dying!

That was a first, for me, at the Market Basket. I looked around to see if anyone was paying attention. Hoping to see someone singing along...but no.

I guess you guys have probably seen this. It's video of Kris's whole afternoon concert in downtown Chicago today.

I hadn't seen the video until now.. I just finished watching. I somehow missed the fact that it was posted. 8O It was awesome. It was funny to see Kris throwing the setlist like a frisbee, lol.

They had a good size crowd show up too.

And I was just looking at the website for the World's Biggest Block Party - it was Sold Out.. yay.

Thanks for the video, I'm watching/listening right now!

I actually stopped it to watch this:

http://soc.li/gscyLGK

And now I understand why they wouldn't let this crew sing the group numbers live *shudders*. It's just really really awful.

I fell asleep watching Kris's concert. I guess this is what people mean when they say his voice is soothing. (Well, it is soothing!)

The idols didn't sound great, but, while they sort of sucked, I kind of liked to see them again. I mean, I liked them on the show. Well, most of them. About six of them. Maybe five? Okay, I liked two of them. So it was nice to see them again. Some of them. At least it was good to see Casey. And Crystal. I guess.

I guess Casey really can't sing without his guitar, huh?

Haha. I mean, I don't know if you feel anything like I do, but I spent a season of AI with these kids. (And these adults. lol) So I experience this brief flash of fond recognition ("Oh, look Siobhan! Tim!") but it goes away very fast! I want to like them. That's the funny part. I wish I liked them more. And I wish they were better.

What is with the new smilies? Papa Smurf? :bigsmurf:

On a completely different note (sort of), Top Idol says Joe Munoz and Todrick Hall are "that way" about each other.

After a day off playing on Lake Erie Adam Lambert and the Glam Nation Tour stop off at the Allen Theatre in Cleveland. OH tonight at 8:00pm

(This is from MJ's blog, and I don't see the words SOLD OUT tonight. Can it be? Is there an empty seat??? )

PS. Please help me out. What are people referring by the initials "DH." I have no idea.

I like them as people. Mostly. They just don't sing well under pressure. Don't know what that deal is.

Maybe just one.

PS. Please help me out. What are people referring by the initials "DH." I have no idea.

Use it in a sentence.

SleepinIn, if you wouldn't mind too much, could you define "under pressure" and "not under pressure"? Relating to this group, I mean. I wouldn't call appearing on GMA, as a group, being under pressure, but maybe you would. I guess I have to ask, if this represents pressure, then doesn't just about every public performance also represent pressure? So where do they sing well? I'm not being snide, I'm curious about how you see it.

Use DH in a sentence? Hm. I can't, I guess! But if you go to the Adam concert thread tonight you'll see people using it a lot.

Oh, yeah, I guess that does mean "dear husband!" But that's not what the Adam fans mean. This is from a thread intro, in June, on MJ's:

No word on the elusive DH tonight. If someone catches sight of this rare creature please inform us in the comments section.

Then there was this last night:

There was quite the strom of DH’s converging on Cleveland tonight. The first DH apparently came from the south. There was also a sneaky DH that some cheeky person named yoyo2010 that made its way from the northeast. And lastly monster of a DH that made someone forget their sneakers went it barrelled in from the east.

I thought SleepinIn might know, since she's an Adam fan.

(Clicking on the links never really works to explain it, either.)

In this instance I was refering to singing on tv. I haven't really watched the concert youtubes from them so I don't really know how they sound there, but the small portions of them playing individually -- at the dream house or in Casey's case the private performance - and even Lee and Crystal in their home visits they sounded okay -- I would even go so far as to say they sounded good.

On tv they sound like they're torturing people for fun... in a group. They mystify me.

I thought SleepinIn might know, since she's an Adam fan.

I don't usually read the Adam concert threads though so DH is a mystery to me. ????? Now I'm going to have to find out what it means.. thanks a lot. LOL

Okay, thanks, SleepinIn. (I guess they probably sound good in the shower, too. If only we could get some recording equipment in there. lol)

I think as a group either they don't really understand that they need to be coordinated as singers, or they don't care, or they just don't mesh. (The sound mix was bad, as well.) (Or so I thought.)

What gets me about the pressure thing (if that's what it is) is that they were on AI for a whole season, and now they're on tour. How could they possibly not be used to being on TV or performing for crowds? (Well, yeah, it's totally possible, actually. It takes some people a long time to get comfortable. But I have to say -- they don't look pressured or nervous.)

I tend to think some of them think this is just too cheesy for them. I don't really like that attitude (which may not be their attitude at all -- I realize I'm just speculating).

Now I'm going to have to find out what it means.. thanks a lot. LOL

LOL. Well, why should I go crazy all by myself? I need company. :shaking2:

Actually my initials are "DH." I thought of "designated hitter," too. But somehow that doesn't relate to an Adam concert. Or any concert. :tongue5:

I give up. I think it extremely rude of Adam's fans to use terms I don't understand. :bigsmurf:

Adam, what is DH? Can you or any of your Depeche Mode-inspired band or dancers or whatever they are, please help us?? Is it "Depp Hair"? "Doo-Hickey"? "Dirty Haters from Arkansas?

on tv they sound like they're torturing people for fun... In a group.

lol!

A very big Kris fan:

Tom (Tpk1987) on Twitter

Wow, there are quite a few tweets mentioning The Truth tonight (people listening to it, mostly. Not 'ultra' Kris fans with elephant avis, either. Apparently, just 'real' people.

Is anyone else curious about the video (which will be filmed in a few days)? I hope it's kind of artistic and offbeat and cool.

Don't forget to vote for The Truth (lie if you have to) on Rate the music.

http://ratethemusic.com/index.cgi/r...ddy@sympatico.ca&raterid=1482843&chart=rtm_12

He's at #4 Pink, The Script and Lighthouse are ahead.. so needless to say don't vote for them.. :p

I noticed that the tweets about it are picking up too.

I'm really curious. Marco is a really interesting director. I loved LLWD so I'm really curious to see what they come up with for a song that is essentially a almost break-up song.

Maroon 5's video is getting a lot of play here.

It's very cool - Can I tell you how happy I am that Kris is opening for them this summer? Very.

This gallery of photos from Stir Cove is awesome.
