Bret Michaels? Really? No I don't think that would work either. I'd take him as a mentor though. That would be interesting as a genre too.. 80's rock.. or the music of Poison. I think I'd like that a lot. :) Actually Bret and Casey's performance was the best (aside from Kris - cause that's how I roll) of the night IMO.

LOL, seriously! That was actually the one thing on that list that made me go "huh"?

I think the Bret Michaels thing is a rumor. I read that he didn't not receive any official offer.

he was found dead today because he came up on a group of kids/teens who had their pants on the ground and began to sing his song.. when he started the 2nd verse, they started beating on him..

That was a hoax and it was from late January or the beginning of February. Since he appeared on the finale of AI last week, I think Larry Platt is still alive, so no worries!

So how was the smoke situation there? Here it was pretty bad. I think that after the parades were over most people stayed inside. It was making me feel sick after a while, so I went inside around the middle of the afternoon. What a weird Memorial Day.

The rain would be welcome. Hope things improve there.

I decided to check out the MJ's blog reactions to that power list. Predictably the Adam tards are all saying Kris is too high on the list.

There are some pictures of Kris and his band riding amusement park rides, etc., I can link to if you haven't seen them.

I guess if you guys want Kris to come to Canada you'll need to bombard 19 with requests...

I'm bugged he's not coming to the Boston area. Of course, he was just here, so I shouldn't complain, right?

Oh, yeah they chose No Boundaries. Which was called a brilliant song by the girl judge. Simon mentions that it was written by a friend of his but no one knows it. The song still sucks. Sorry Kara. It's awful 12 year olds singing it doesn't improve it.

The judges seemed to like it. LOL

For Kris to come to Canada I think we'll have to kidnap him or something. He's got border phobia.

I don't care why Adam wasn't on the AI finale. But since he already had tweeted that he wouldn't be on the show, the laryngitis thing doesn't really ring true. It's no big deal to me if he wasn't there. The only thing that actually bugs me is, after they were good enough to give him the mentoring gig, I hope he didn't turn around and act wounded they didn't let him perform his single on the finale, and decide not to appear for that reason. That's how it appeared, originally, anyhow.

Why is Simon dressed better on that show than he was on Idol?

From what I can see on Mediabase, TT got 6 adds on HAC and 5 adds on Top 40.

The **** is hitting the fan because IIHY didn't do so great in adds and TT did better, especially because it got the big markets. Tiger-whatever-her-number-is will have to do some major spin control.

Meanwhile, some of the crazier "fans" have re-ranked the LA Times power list and one put Kris at #13. Two spots below Ruben. LOL! Yeah, I hear Ruben a lot on the radio these days. Kris had a top 10 hit in pop, HAC, and AC. Maybe Ruben had a top 5 hit in those formats. Oh, and Ruben recently closed the Kiss concert, right?

I don't think you understand how much I dislike the world of Glam...

I just watched Idolatry. It was more entertaining than the finale (which isn't saying much, I grant you. Make that: more entertaining than the whole season).

LOL! I'm with you on that. And I get the impression Adam's brother is not the hugest Glam fan either!

They're re-ranking the power list? LOL. Like it will change anything.

Apparently, the sales of the season 9-ers are abysmal. Numbers should be out tomorrow.

By the way, did you guys think about how Kris recording with Keith Urban might mean that yet another song not written by Kris could be his next single? Becase he was saying there was nothing left on the album to release as a single other than songs he co-wrote. This could change that (or, God forbid, Keith would duet on one of Kris's album songs in a clever re-do of...Alright With Me? Please, not that.)
