Now that was a nice interview. Billy Costa is good at that.
MJ misidentified him at Matt Siegel. But they are kind of sound-alikes.
He also has a restaurant show on TV.
I didn't expect Bury Me Alive to be that good!
I guess it's all a question of opinion, as you said. I didn't expect it to be about being buried alive. I hate all stuff like that, though I think I have a Hawthorne Heights album someplace.
ETA:
I've been with Slezak all season long about Casey.
Well, maybe my point is just: you don't ignore one of the Top 10, or 12 (whatever it was) -- he ignored the guy in two different recaps, where he mentioned every other person. That's just ridiculous. The guy ended up in the Top 3. It didn't surprise me, he's a good musician, at least, even if his singing doesn't appeal to some people. I still felt right from the start, he was better than (off the top of my head) Aaron, Katie, Tim, Paige, and I don't even remember the others I thought he was better than.
Slezak annoys me sometimes with his biases. He annoyed me about Gokey, another person who (deservedly) ended up in third place. I don't like Gokey, but still -- if you're going to be satirical like Cantiello, that's one thing. Slezak is supposed to be fairly "serious" in his critiques and journalism, despite his humor. I think he sometimes has to remember that abilty needs to be acknowledged, even if he personally doesn't like someone.
That's one reason I don't think he'd be a great judge on Idol. Not that the ones they've got are any better. But I'd like a judge to be able to notice what's good in every contestant.
