I wouldn't call him a hero, Tec but I do acknowledge that it took a lot of skill and concentration.
I pretty much agree with that. I acknowledge and admire the skill of the sniper and the fighter-bomber pilot, but I don't find them particularly heroic. I don't find any particular class of soldiers heroic. They're doing a dangerous job, sure, but so are many other people (last I checked, commercial fisherman had the highest rate of on-the-job death). I save the "hero" tag for individuals who do something extraordinary or particularly dangerous or brave, generally for the benefit of others, within the context of the job.

Good thing we have so many experienced military experts on this here board.

At one time we held the longest kill shot with record for the longest confirmed sniper kill in combat, at 2,430 m (2,657 yd).

This has been now bested by another Canadian..

Was Iraq the insurgent's home country? What the f-ck was the insurgent doing in Iraq? Laundry?

Polar Bears teach you to keep a careful watch and distance is the best thing so there is the other component. Sniper and all pilots have to give up their morals as they are killing somebody that is not a direct threat, aka 1st degree murder.

No, I can back it up. But what would be the point?

I'm guessing from your point of view that all the terrorist attacks, the beheadings, the bombings during Ramadan, is all made up. It would be like arguing with a bowl of marshmallows that has a learning disorder.

I never supported going into Iraq, didn't buy the WMD justification, but doing nothing about ISIS is just as dumb.

Grow up man the west owns and operates ISIS and most other terrorist black operations. Our handlers kill more western soldiers than any Muslim opposition just to get people like you steamed up and self righteous.

Guessing all right...good choice of words. I am just agreeing with experts in intel who say that, and with their provable reasons too.
BTW, Did your videos come from Katz’s SITE? the fake propaganda video queen?

Forensic medicine is not my specialty but certain things are so obvious they beg common sense questions from journalists. The infamous youTube “beheading” videos of two US journalists by the ISIS in Syria/Iraq, aka IS or Daash or Al Qaeda in Iraq depending on your preference in particular bear more serious attention. The details are emerging that show both videos are entirely fake events, staged apparently by professional actors to create the popular support for a US bombing of Syria to finally depose the democratically-elected Bashar al Assad.

The concept of letting the professionals from Syria and Russia handle it is not a concept that is likely to make it to his table.

Damn straight Tay...
Right from the top man on the ground, whom the Bushes tried to hire to run a coup on the US government, which he testified to congress about, and which they finally did accomplish when they whacked Kennedy.

So, a man who strikes from hiding against another man who never even knows he's there, and kills him, is a hero?

No, I've always hated that term. Shit..some folks call sportsman hero. I would say that a guy who makes that kind of distance is one hell of a shot, not a hero. But he's also a soldier doing his/her,<--sorry didn't want offend any of female listeners, and they are doing their duty. While people out there can make excuses for barbarism and want a hands off approach, I still believe that we need to stand against it. It's one thing to be a soldier and it's another to be the parent of a soldier, it gives one pause and considerate thought. I think through much of what I write and I don't always come down on the popular side of an argument, but I am true to myself and will always question.

Guessing all right...good choice of words. I am just agreeing with experts in intel who say that, and with their provable reasons too.

right YOUR beheading videos from a propaganda site that HAVE BEEN SHOWN to be FAKE NEWS

You may possibly write fiction but you sure can't tell it when you see it buttwipe.
I said back your sh!t up and that's the best you can do?

lol YOU are hillarious..get back to driving your hay wagon.
Because the military brain washing you think with is no substitute for the critical thinking you are incapable of doing

We just saw the US invade several countries and not once has the logic stood up to close scrutiny so all the deaths become murder to make some else else rich.
(buddy tried to warm you with the Smedley Butler citation, but you won't read up on the facts from someone acclaimed..I bet you don't even know who he was)

Canadian soldiers? No, these days its retired Canadian mercenaries
...and The best you can do is insult me like a cheap drunk

"The ISIS Islamic Terrorists are Supported by the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia

"Who’s Really Pulling the Strings?
The Times of Israel reported Wednesday:

A Free Syrian Army commander, arrested last month by the Islamist militia Al-Nusra Front, told his captors he collaborated with Israel in return for medical and military support, in a video released this week.Read more: Syrian rebel commander says he collaborated with Israel.

In a video uploaded to YouTube Monday … Sharif As-Safouri, the commander of the Free Syrian Army’s Al-Haramein Battalion, admitted to having entered Israel five times to meet with Israeli officers who later provided him with Soviet anti-tank weapons and light arms. Safouri was abducted by the al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Nusra Front in the Quneitra area, near the Israeli border, on July 22.

“The [opposition] factions would receive support and send the injured in [to Israel] on condition that the Israeli fence area is secured. No person was allowed to come near the fence without prior coordination with Israel authorities,” Safouri said in the video.
***
In the edited confession video, in which Safouri seems physically unharmed, he says that at first he met with an Israeli officer named Ashraf at the border and was given an Israeli cellular phone. He later met with another officer named Younis and with the two men’s commander, Abu Daoud. In total, Safouri said he entered Israel five times for meetings that took place in Tiberias.

Following the meetings, Israel began providing Safouri and his men with “basic medical support and clothes” as well as weapons, which included 30 Russian [rifles], 10 RPG launchers with 47 rockets, and 48,000 5.56 millimeter bullets.

Also on Wednesday, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency – a 97-year old Jewish wire service – reported:
A senior employee of the Dutch Justice Ministry said the jihadist group ISIS was created by Zionists seeking to give Islam a bad reputation.
Yasmina Haifi, a project leader at the ministry’s National Cyber Security Center, made the assertion Wednesday on Twitter, the De Telegraaf daily reported.

“ISIS has nothing to do with Islam. It’s part of a plan by Zionists who are deliberately trying to blacken Islam’s name,” wrote Haifi ….

In March, Haaretz reported:
The Syrian opposition is willing to give up claims to the Golan Heights in return for cash and Israeli military aid against President Bashar Assad, a top opposition official told Al Arab newspaper, according to a report in Al Alam.
***
The Western-backed militant groups want Israel to enforce a no-fly zone over parts of southern Syria to protect rebel bases from air strikes by Assad’s forces, according to the report.

World Net Daily reports that the U.S. trained Islamic jihadis – who would later join ISIS – in Jordan.

The Jerusalem Post reports that an ISIS fighter says that Turkey funds the terrorist group. Turkey is a member of NATO and – at least until very recently – a close U.S. ally.

Wealthy donors in U.S. allies Kuwait and Qatar back ISIS, and Western intelligence officials say that those governments must be approving the support.
A former high-level Al Qaeda commander has repeatedly alleged that ISIS works for the CIA.

In June, investment adviser Jim Willie alleged:
The [Isis] troops that are working there [in Syria and Iraq] are Langley [i.e. CIA] troops. They’re trained, funded, and armed by Langley.

What I’m hearing… the U.S. military (Pentagon regulars), and you have to be careful when you refer to U.S. military anymore. What kind of U.S. military? Is it the Pentagon U.S. Army, or is it the Langley military, which has unmarked uniforms and 10′s of thousands of mercenaries?

They’re about to encounter each other in Iraq. The U.S. military Pentagon regulars evacuated Iraq, and what filled the vacuum was the Langley mercenaries, trained for Syria, that migrated South and announced their new agenda.

If and when the Pentagon regulars encounter the Langley mercenaries in Iraq, Obama’s going to get a house call, because U.S. military will be fighting U.S. military. Pentagon vs. Langley.

While we don’t know which of the above-described allegations are true, two things are certain:
The U.S. armed Islamic jihadis in Syria, and their weapons ended up in the hands of ISIS; and
Close allies of the U.S. have supported and trained the ISIS terrorists

Why would the U.S. and its allies back ISIS, when they are barbarian Islamic terrorists? Well – assuming it’s true – oil and gas could be the explanation.
After all, there is evidence that the U.S. and her allies have wanted to break up the nations of Iraq and Syria for decades. And ISIS has done so.

In any event – whether or not it’s true of ISIS – it’s well-documented that the U.S., Saudis and Israelis have been backing the world’s most dangerous and radical Muslim terrorists for decades. And see this.

And anyone who looks at the battle against ISIS as a religious war is being played.
