Two years into Trudeaus mandate Canadian employment reaches historic levels.

5.7 % unemployment is the best number since 1976 - when the other Trudeau was in power.

I love the symmetry.

All it took is getting rid of Harper and letting someone other than the oil industry run the country.

Generally fatal as well.
What he doesn't like to admit is that it is all because our once strong dollar is now the peso north.

What once strong dollar?

The once strong dollar that was based on oil at $100 a bbl and once impossible mining plays were suddenly profitable?

Oil was never "worth" $100 a bbl kids.

If that is going to be the basis of your dollar you are in trouble.

If the dollar is too strong this happens:

Dutch disease was an affliction Ontario political leaders blamed for the poor performance of their province’s economy – and to some extent Quebec’s – due to a (once-) strong Canadian dollar.

Always somebody else's fault.

Given how much Canada's different levels of government are borrowing and spending, I should hope the economy is doing well. But how stable is it?
