Catherine McKenna flew Hypocrite Air.

The former Liberal minister of the environment and nine staffers — not one or two, but nine — spent nearly $42,000 and tens of thousands litres of aviation fuel on a farewell “climate change” tour of Canada, logging 22,000 kms. in 10 days to make speeches on global warming.

“We need to reduce air pollution,” McKenna said during a July 27 stop in Edmonton, as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter. “Consider that the transportation sector represents a quarter of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions.”

Air travel is a leading emitter (of air pollution) and should be avoided if unnecessary, said her friends at the David Suzuki Foundation.

And then she jetted off. Shortly thereafter, she retired from politics. “Think twice before you grab that great flight.” Save the Earth & keep that temperature increase below 4°C or something like that, Etc…. Whatever.

Oil and gas is not going away as long as we choose to live North of 40 deg latitude. Ever. The only thing that comes anywhere close to providing the energy required by society is nuclear, and pretty sure I can guess what your perspective is on that option.

Not that it matters anyhow, nuclear (and pretty much every other energy resource option available) would never clear Trudeau's required gender based analysis bar. the irony of all this is that Canada's continuously increasing energy costs and punitive energy taxes without a doubt have the greatest negative impact on low income Canadians. Wonder why PM banana-stuffer's assinine GBA nonsense never seems to take this into consideration.
It’s going to get a whole lot more expensive to heat our homes this winter:

UK's biggest source of greenhouse gas? This 'eco' power station! Drax in Yorkshire burns wood pellets that are treated as a 'renewable' fuel but emit more carbon dioxide than coal, research shows

  • Supposedly 'green' power station is Britain's biggest emitter of greenhouse gas
  • Drax in Yorkshire burns wood pellets and has attracted £800million in subsidies
  • But analysis shows burning wood for power produced more CO2 than burning coal since 2019

Yup, must keep those forests clean b'cuz that's what causes the wild fires. But of course, the "greenies" will have you think otherwise!! Apparently, cleaning up the forests is the same as destroying them....

BTW, where are all those thousands of trees to be planted that were promised by Trudeau anyway?

Forestry companies must be falling behind on their planting process they have to pay for themselves;)

The silver culture that forest companies must preform is all of sudden worth carbon credits . Itch, scratch .

Canada boosts U.S. natgas exports, drills more as global prices surge

By Nia Williams and Scott Disavino

I never heard of the 2 companies mentioned so they maybe interested in drilling the more likely scenario is to put the shut in wells back into service and capitalize on the demand

Think we're gonna get some separation talk soon..

Canada will put a cap on oil and gas sector emissions, Trudeau tells COP26 summit

Calling the promise "a major commitment" that should inspire other resource-rich countries to dramatically curb their own emissions, Trudeau said Canada is prepared to limit the growth of one of the country's largest industries to help the world hold the global average temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
