Yeah, well, personally, I think it's occasionally ok for tax breaks and low interest loans, and the like, but I also think companies should either sink or swim on their own, especially when they make multiples of millions in profits per year.

Yes, but if we let the oil industry swim on its own petros would lose a ton of business.

there you go minimizing 1,000 million provincial penalty dollars again.

get a grip kid.

So you also admit the industry requires government assistance.

Why does your job tely on them?

Why are your fingers disconnected from your brain?
The T is very close to the R though. You need bigger keys or someone to type for you.

To let go of a little help from your friends?

The Canadian Development Expense ($478 million)
Canadian Exploration Expense ($233 million)
Accelerated Capital Cost Allowance ($300 million)
Investment Tax Credit ($100 million)
Liquefied Natural Gas capital cost allowance ($50 million).

None of which are subsidies. they are tax credits. Not the same thing. But you have been told that before.

So I guess what you mean is that tax credits do nothing to subsidize oil exploration. Am I correct in thinking that?

Subsidize | Definition of subsidize by Merriam-Webster

to help someone or something pay for the costs of (something)

Tax credits are vastly different things according to the unenlightened non readers. I hope that's purple.

A dictionary has scuttled another fine thread? What a hideous weapon. Is that purple? Not this that to the extreme left.<----
