Frankly, this move is long overdue and would save a half-billion dollars annually. I am one of the thirty-three percent of Canadians that has door-to-door delivery,and, frankly, it's a nuisance. We are constantly badgering neighbours to collect our mail when we are away visiting urchins or travelling. Furthermore, I would benefit in minus fifty-degree weather or during hailstorms to brave the elements and walk to the neighbourhood boxes.

I (sniffing haughtily) have my mail delivered to my door. The postman does think of my health, however. He often puts neighbours`mail in my box as well. So, I get my requisite exercise walking around the neighbourhood delivering, at no cost to Canada Post, misdirected missives.

I've had mail delivered to my mailbox for the last forty years at least. These days my mail is mostly flyers as the bulk of what used to be mail now comes by e-mail. It's nice to get a letter but hell, I can phone just about anyone I know for four cents a minute. A ten minute call is forty cents. If Canada Post gave a sh-t about service it might be different but when a letter accross town takes six days or more to be delivered, who needs it?

I pick up my mail in the lobby of my appartment. But when I get a package I have to go across town, stand in line and then pick it up. M-F 9-8 of course. Are they just thinking of using those corner mailboxes or the same as packages?

Close to nude, CanadaPost shorts. When chilly it's CanadaPost shorts with yoga pants. My postie is really damn cute. All that walking has given her the nicest legs and *** I've seen in years. Nope no houses for sale. Do you like Italian girls, Lucia is single. She lives next door to her parents (Antonio and Rosa) in the house her brothers (a brick layer and a plumber) built for her. When they party it's like having my own Jersey Shore to watch.

I guess first they're thinking bout alternate day delivery, cept for business.

Then increasing the number of group boxes, which do accommodate small parcels as Spade said.

Sooner or later the whole thing is going to fold. Parcel mail won't save them. They already own a majority share in Purolator.

I don't even get bank statements or bills by mail anymore.

Christmas cards: we send 6, receive less.

Lots of fliers, but they're mostly available online.

If they do pack it in I can see being charged to receive junk mail online..................whatever.

Things has changed considerable.................yup.

If the govt. privatizes the mess, the folks in the boonies can just forget about it.
