Well! ....What can I say! Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel! "Patriot Love" is definitely NOT politically correct and this should be boycotted every time it is sung.

"True North Strong and Free" I for one, think that we should disband the Armed Forces because "Strong and Free" says to me that we're supposed to go around attacking people, like strong arm thugs from the "True North"

"God keep our land" Will this never stop! Everyone knows that there is no "god" and it's not our land, anyway.

"We stand on guard for thee" Not me, man! No more armed forces means NO MORE WARS!

Oh hell, in the time of political correctness, this is a mild change as far as I'm concerned. If they had insisted on other pronouns (all 36 or so of them) I'd have an issue LOL There are a lot more important things going on that we should be concerned about.

You're confusing patriotism with nationalism. Patriotism in fact serves as an effective antidote to nationalism. One way to counter nationalism would in fact be to promote patriotism.

I think O Canada is a lousy national anthem anyway. It's impossible to interpret or nuance like the Star Spangled Banner. The only way to play it is at full horn where in comes out as an abrasive embarrassment that is hard not to cringe to. The Maple Leaf Forever is a much more flexible and endearing tune. But in light of this i'll sing one word.. SONS.. next time i hear it, even though i haven't sung it in years. Just to flip the bird to the feminist coven of the Liberal Caucas.. and the geriatric old farts in the Senate.
