Good grief!

Italy has over a hundred parties and do we ever hear about Italy separating? Maybe it happens but I sure as hell don't hear about it.

And this clandestine nonsense about a US take-over...please! That is well beyond the borders of ridiculous.

Let's go to occams razor shall we? The Prime Minister comes out swinging with hardball politics in a economic update, which was more like an electoral process review. Opposition parties saw an opening to grab at power (that is the very nature of partisan politics), and then the Prime Minister resorts to making this a unity crisis. Proroguement was the best outcome possible. Let cooler heads converse.

It's all reactionary...to think this was some dreamed up plan months ago...REMOVE THE TINFOIL.

You ask a Italian what he is, he will answer Italian, not usually Napolitano, Sicilian etc. Here so many of us when asked that question reply Albertan, Quebecois or what ever. Not all but a lot more than others. Even in the U.S. you ask the question, they will answer American, not I'm from Main. I was not referring to separating so much as to just where are you from. When asked, I always say Canadian unless more specifics are required.

To many Canadians identify themselves by their provinces rather than their country. You are right, normally just saying your Canadian, Italian etc. should suffice.
