interesting site.

rev: Amazing how easily a population can be "brainwashed". (sigh)

the power of fear tactics.

Funny they did not show any of the Isreali Busses after they were blown to bits in the "Palestinian Freedom" section. I guess Isreali civillians don't matter.

Wonder if bush /blair are prepared to swear on the bible about this . Hmmm.

( would bet they would refuse to be questioned----and simply dismiss it. Well, bush would. Blair might have some conscience about this)

Gotta wonder what suppression tactics bush will employ this time.

Holding him accountable might be like trying to hang on to a slippery eel.

smack: common now. Who is talking about Israel ??? The topic is the US casualties......Iraqis and their own.

The mainstream press just won't cover it, Ocean. Just they hardly covered the Valerie Plame thing or the fact that Bush lied about the metal tubes.

The mainstream press just won't cover it,

You are probably quite right. In a way , we must be patient and excuse the "American" population, as they are simply NOT INFORMED.

( but what is inexcusable, is relying on the US media only for info......when more accurate data is available online.)

They don't have to look to foreign sources though. The Nation (oldest weekly in the US, and an excellent magazine BTW), broke the Plame story. Harper's broke Abu Ghraib. There are plenty of US sources that are accurate, but are not controlled by Bush apologists. The thing is that people have been trained to think that they are radical leftist sources and not accurate.

indeed. you are right about that. Maybe it is selective reading that is hindering the knowledge process???

Who knows, but something is out of whack.

RE: BUSH'S IMPEACHABLE OF

It's the television and radio media. That's where most people get their news and it is controlled by the right of the political spectrum. The mainstream newspapers and magazines are almost as bad.

Car magazines always made me mad because they would never say anything negative about a car if the manufacturer was an advertiser. Now the whole mainstream media in the US is like that. They also send out a constant implicit message that "alternative" news sources aren't as trustworthy.

You shouldn't shop at Home Despot if you can avoid it. Rona either. They push a lot of small contractors out of business with their "we install" policies. They push a lot of small lumber yards and supply stores out of business too.

I watch a lot of TV news...all of the stations, even the American ones. The only ones that are really reliable are the CBC and, sometimes CTV. BBC World is good, but I don't get the whole channel, just the CBC broadcast.

diverting from the topic for a moment......but I don't shop there.......the remark was tongue in cheek.....and based on a program I do watch. ( Trading Spaces, and While You Were Out......on TLC......both of which are sponsored by Home Depot;-)

(sorry for the diversion, but wanted to clarify that )

It's good to know you don't feed the greed frenzy. You shouldn't watch those shows either. Mrs. Rev watches them and she always has some weird plan for me to carry out. I just nod until the next show comes on and she has to start planning all over again. ;-)
