I also said you don't leave your family in your house, if you know that can be a potential target, and you are in hiding yourself away from your home.

Israel and Hamas are at war.. unfortunately during a war there are civilian casualties.

In the case of the Nazis and the Japanese around WW2 - yes they were in regions which wanted to wipe out other races and religions, and they were pretty good at it when you look at their death tolls.

Also, you don't hit a house with a woman and child in it if your actual target isn't even there. If you're going to kill some civilians it would be nice to take out an actual bad guy or two as well.
