On a personal level, I am glad he is getting rehab.

But crack smoking or not, he is still a better canadate than Olivia Chow.

If Ford becomes unviable, I would expect John Tory to pick up some support.

ROFLMAO

But crack smoking or not, he is still a better canadate than Olivia Chow.

How so, he lies, he is vile, his gravy train propaganda is for fools, he slashed programs that the poor used for their kids to have something to do and better themselves.
He is a lousy politician to have in charge in the way the city functions. People know that but can't argue with it for other Councillors backed up his plans in order to look like they are working. He holds but one vote on council and needs backing to get anything passed.

If Ford becomes unviable, I would expect John Tory to pick up some support.
unviable is not even a word to be spoken in the same sentence with this piece of shyte. Only flotsam voted for this guy or people too stupid to know a con when they are told one. The mere words gravy train is your first clue, the secound is the level of articulation he and his brother bring to any discussion. Are you comfortable with these drop outs? Do you condone having Doug Ford as a spokes person for anything?

John Tory is a throw back to a whole other set of back room bull **** promises to line the pockets of conservative interests.

Thanks for the clarification BornRuff...it didn't sound like something you would say so when I read it, for sure I raised an eyebrow

Just one more nail in his coffin.

I'm surprised you guys don't remember this one. It is definitely part of the "Classic Ford" collection.

He's not a wise man as you said he was born ruff.
He is a very sick low life piece of garbage with lots of money from dear old dad's hard work.
The fact anyone thinks anything other of this piece of shyte shows you how low our society can go.

People that want to burn the whole thing down want to vote for him.

And Bornruff if you think this is all so much fun you have no idea the effect this is having people's psyche especially children and those vulnerable to substance abuse.

A wise man once told me, "Women love money".

it's not wise

The only ones that would vote for Rob Ford now are the ones who just want to watch it all burn.

You said it better than me.

That comment was sarcastic.

I live in Toronto and follow all this stuff very closely, so I am no stranger to the effects. Ask anyone on this board and they will back up the fact that I am not known to be sympathetic to the guy in any way. But some of what he says is just so ridiculous, and you have to be able to laugh every once in a while.

Admission and treatment are just jumping through hoops if he can't stick with the program. I wish Ford well.

This is going to sound really self serving coming from me, but I think the only way I will believe that he is taking this seriously is if he resigns from office and drops out of the mayoral race.

Tackling addiction is one of the hardest things that a person will ever have to do. It takes a lot of work and a long term commitment. Running the city and running for political office are also some of the most stressful things you can do. It just doesn't seem at all likely that he can get better and stay better while getting back to this public life within the next few months.

From what I've seen of Ford as mayor, and heard of Ford on radio - and I wish him well if fighting addiction is REALLY what he's about - it seems like he's doing a little pity packing to gain support. In promising unpopular choices, he's splitting the vote against him and guaranteeing a job after he's done the rehab
