It's sad they are dead.. debating the officers actions going to bring them back to life??

The judge was an idiot.

Case Closed.

Hope the family to sue the cop.
Cops are immune. The state's liability is limited by law to $200,000 in Maryland. Comparable statutes in the other states.

What do you expect, the b*tch is a cop hater and wants to spoil a thread dedicated to the people that protect and serve the community.

I love what the Baltimore police are doing, standing back and letting the community emplode. Let all the thugs and trash basically eliminate each others..

Thank you T-Bones.. $200,000 seems very little for a mans life.. nevertheless, I hope they can sue the state and win some compensation..

I can't believe FoxNews defending this police officer.. (shaking head)

Police Dog Rescues Deputy After He's Ambushed By 3 Men

By ANASTASIA WILLIAMS

A police K-9 came to the rescue of an officer who was being ambushed by three men and the dog most likely saved his life, authorities said today.
Deputy Todd Frazier was traveling along a remote stretch of Highway 90 in Pearlington, Mississippi, on Monday when he saw a blue Lincoln Town Car at a deserted rest stop, said Sheriff Ricky Adam of the Hancock County Sheriff's Department.
The driver of the vehicle looked as if he wasn't moving, so Frazier, a three-year veteran of the department, pulled over in order to check on him, Adam told ABC News.
"Two individuals surprised Deputy Frazier from the shadows and an altercation ensued," Adam said. "One cut him across the forehead with a razor, one choked him, and one grabbed his legs to carry him to the edge of the woods."
Frazier was able to hit a button to release his K-9, Lucas, a black Belgian Malinois, from his car, Adam said. Lucas bit the attackers, who then tried to flee in their car. As they drove away, Lucas was still hanging onto the leg of one of the assailants, Adam said. As a result of the altercation, Lucas chipped a few teeth and bruised his shoulder.
Frazier also has bruises, including a gash on his forehead, but his injuries are not life-threatening, Adam said. Both have not been back to work since the incident, but are expected to be okay.
"Deputy Frazier is a good deputy and takes his job seriously. He is also an excellent dog handler -- he trained Lucas himself," Adam said, noting all three suspects remain at large.
It was unclear what the motive of the attack was, Adam said.

It's a simple concept ... innocent until proven guilty ... one that is applied universally and not when one picks and chooses when one applies it.

While I also think where there is smoke there is fire is usually pretty true, I think it very odd with all these women not one has filed a criminal complaint against him. What he did was against the law if he did it. He should be in jail.

So what I'm saying is, where there is smoke there is fire...Ghomeshi has been accused by 9 women. I think he's a rapist, and I think he should be in jail.

Police: Drunk driver kills local officer at traffic stop
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

STERLINGTON, La. -- A 44-year-old man is accused of driving drunk and sideswiping a police car at a traffic stop in northeast Louisiana, killing one officer and injuring two others early Sunday, authorities said.
The wreck occurred on Interstate 55 in Sterlington, about 220 miles northwest of New Orleans, as city police Officer David Elahi stood next to a patrol car, talking to a woman who had been stopped, Sterlington Police Chief Barry Bonner said.
He said a pickup truck hit Elahi and took off the police car doors.
The other two officers had minor injuries, Trooper Michael Reichardt, a state police spokesman, said in an email.
He said Tracy Govan, 44, of Monroe, was arrested on charges including vehicular homicide and vehicular negligent injury -- killing or injuring someone by driving while drunk. He did not know whether Govan has an attorney.
Bonner said the woman stopped for a traffic violation escaped injury. She was waiting in the patrol car's rear seat for a friend to come and drive her home, since police learned after she had been stopped that she was driving with a suspended license, Bonner said.
He said Elahi was in his late 20s, had worked for him about four years, and was engaged to the mother of his toddler-age daughter.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at North Monroe Baptist Church, Bonner said.
"David was probably the hardest-working individual I've ever met," Bonner said. He said Elahi had two part-time businesses -- real estate and renting inflatable "bounce houses" -- and had planned to go to part-time police work at the end of July so he could work full-time at real estate.
He was devoted to his daughter and to his parents, Bonner said.
"His father has some health issues, and David's always been there for him."
He said he can't remember ever seeing Elahi in a bad mood.
"He was a beautiful, beautiful young man."

Man who allegedly killed police officer, disposed of her body will stand trail for murder

HALIFAX -- A man accused of killing an off-duty Nova Scotia police officer and disposing of her body near a Halifax bridge will be committed to stand trial.
Christopher Calvin Garnier, 28, was in court Monday for a preliminary hearing on charges that he committed second-degree murder and interfered with a dead body in the death of Truro officer Catherine Campbell last September.
Outside of court, Crown lawyer Christine Driscoll said 10 or 11 witnesses would be called during the hearing, which is usually held to determine if a judge finds there is enough evidence to commit an accused to trial.
But Driscoll said defence lawyer Joel Pink agreed to a trial, so the witness list was reduced.
"Mr. Pink has consented to committal. ... Sometimes it happens. He provided a number of names he was interested in hearing from and we agreed to subpoena them," she said. Pink declined comment outside of the court.
A publication ban has been placed upon all evidence discussed at the preliminary hearing, which is set for four days.
Garnier appeared in the warm, packed courtroom wearing a blue suit and a pink dress shirt, and members of both his and Campbell's families also were in the room.
The Halifax resident was charged after the 36-year-old constable's remains were found last Sept. 16 near the base of an overpass leading to a Halifax bridge.
A sworn affidavit from an RCMP officer obtained prior to the hearing says Garnier allegedly told police he punched and strangled Campbell at an apartment in the city.
Police have said that early in the morning of Sept. 11, Garnier was recorded on surveillance video rolling a green recycling bin down a city street in his bare feet, returning half hour later with no green bin.
The RCMP officer who swore the affidavit said he believed the video showed Garnier attempting to remove evidence and Campbell's body from the scene.
The documents allege the key to a vehicle and a gym membership tag, both belonging to Campbell, were found in a dumpster within 30 metres of the address, where Garnier's friend lives.
It also said blood evidence was found on the floor and wall of the family room at the McCully Street address as well as on the pull-out sofa and the door handles of the cleaning supplies cabinet.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
Campbell served as a volunteer firefighter for 10 years in her hometown of Stellarton.
Her family has said she held a variety of jobs in the community before deciding to train as a police officer, finding a job in Truro as soon as she graduated six years ago.
During her funeral in Stellarton over a hundred police officers and firefighters lined the main street of her hometown as her coffin was brought to the Presbyterian church.

Cops never abuse f-cking Whitie. It's a fact..
Depends, I grew up in a small city that was all white and I can tell you that during my teen and young adulthood, I saw many many guys pushed, beaten up in jail, tasered (this one was a favorite), and pulled over for nothing. So the abused were 'entirely' all f-cking whities. The group being targeted mostly were the groups hanging around a lot, selling drugs, etc...

petros is just trying to establish a false equivalency. The thinking, if it can be called that, if that if cops abuse whites, then racism can't possibly be a motivation for the abuse of non-whites.

petros likes to throw out these little teasers, inviting people to follow them into logical flaws and fallacies, but not stating the flaw or fallacy itself. He's pretty passive-aggressive.

He might not have been a perfect president but just in few sentences he showed 100x the class & respect as Obama.

Anyone who remembers the alleged author of those words knows without much doubt that he was incapable of that kind of construction. It's a fact that he his the worlds champion in the delivery of fukked up speeches. He is remembered as being unchallenged n his class.
He was very good at supporting a suit.

Georgia officer killed, suspect on the loose
The Associated Press
First posted: Sunday, August 14, 2016 08:06 PM EDT | Updated: Sunday, August 14, 2016 08:11 PM EDT
ATLANTA -- A police officer in a small, central Georgia city has been shot and killed by a suspect who remains on the loose, authorities said Sunday.
Eastman Patrol Officer Tim Smith was fatally shot about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in a residential area of the city located about 60 miles southeast of Macon, Georgia Bureau of Investigations spokesman Scott Dutton said.
Smith, 31, was responding to a suspicious person call when he encountered Royheem Delshawn Deeds, exited his patrol car and was shot, Dutton said.
Dutton said Deeds, 24, then fled the scene. He is being sought by police.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations said in a news release Sunday that it is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to Deeds' whereabouts.
Smith was not wearing a body camera.
Smith had been with the Eastman Police Department since 2011. He is survived by three children.
Smith's death came just hours before two 15-year-old suspects were arrested after exchanging gunfire with officers in the suburban Atlanta city of Marietta.
Officer Scott Davis was shot in the leg early Sunday, Marietta police spokeswoman Kelah Wallace said. Davis, a 10-year veteran, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is recovering after surgery.
The shooting occurred outside the Gallery Apartments when three officers responded to a call about people breaking into cars, Wallace said.
The officers approached two suspects who were inside a vehicle, Wallace said. One of the suspects from the vehicle started shooting at the officers, striking one of them.
Three officers returned fire, hitting one of the suspects. Both suspects were eventually arrested, Wallace said. The wounded suspect was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Davis and the two other officers will be placed on administrative leave as per policy standards.
