Some of the vitriol is so asinine.

With the anniversary of Forced Busing in Boston coming up some want to blame the republicans for being opposed to it when every person opposed and for it were Democrats. They clashed with each other over it.

Wealthy white liberals pitting poor white people against poor black people while sheltering their own wealthy communities from any of it.

Does Eagledick not have any proper historical knowledge on even his own country's history or is this one big troll?

He's acting as if the Democratic party in the late 1800s is the same as the modern day democratic party, when they're entirely different.

Hey you fat tard.... suck it... it was the Democrat Party and they have to live with it sh*t for brains. They own it. There is no transferring past crimes from one group to the other because they now feel guilty for what their party did.

And Robert Byrd... was he from the 1800's? He was serving right to his death in 2010 and was a grand dragon in the KKK.

No the democratic party of today has literally no relation to the democratic party of the 1800s.
Byrd's racist views changed in the early 80s and his early opinions don't have anything to do with the democratic party.

Racism was rampant I'm sure in the 40s in West Virgina too.

Oh sure! And it has everything to do with the GOP (as some have alluded too) and they did NONE of this.

And please let's not stop with the 1800's. Their racist attitudes went well beyond the 19th century and still rings today.

Sure... Byrd was sorry. Dems are so easy to turn a blind eye to their blatant racism as long as they have a D in their title somewhere.

Yup Strom Thurmond... longest filibuster by one senator in opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957.... Whoops... He was in the Democrat party!

He and Byrd were great pals too!

Yep, and when he saw which way things were going and got uncomfortable, he found a place he fit into better.

You understand I don't really disagree with you, right? I've known lots of working-class Dumbocrats, and many of them are unabashedly racist. I also know lots of non-working class Dumbocrats, and most of them are abashedly racist.

So really, they ain't much different from Republicons, on that score anyhow.

Amongst others.

He and Byrd got along even after he switched parties and both combined efforts.

So lets see... KKK memberships in Politics...

Democrats... Truman, Byrd, White, ahhhhh the list goes on and on!

and maybe this loser just killed himself too.

Quite possible but I doubt it. Hanging is one of the most common suicide methods. Suicides dont tend to get much media attention. Sure, you hear about it from time to time but not nearly as often as it actually happens. There must be something suspicious about this for it to get the attention its getting.

Give a bunch of CCers enough rope......

Ha, in this thread.

Um, cuz it's a black man hanging from a tree in Mississippi would be the reason.

Yeah, Mississippi has a kinda not-so-good history with black men hanging from trees.

Though of course it's racist for me to mention that.

Yep, as racist as mentioning that another black man hung himself a few years back and, and... for even suggesting this might be a similar case.

Oh sure there's a difference...like this dude was already a convicted murderer unlike the first guy but still...I understand your um 'concern'.

anyway, Rest of America don't mean jack shit. You in Mississippi now.

It's a world turned upside down isn't it? The racist Democratic Party of the past is now the party of the colored folks and the rich white folks. And the big business Republican Party of the past is now the home of the white working/middle classes.
