It was none of my business when you raised your bratty little monster as if he were the most unique and wonderful and most perfectest creation Gaia ever had spring from her muddy, patchouli-scented loins.
It wasn't my problem when, after you relented to every sniff and whine and demand the little f*cker uttered, or that after you never whacked him across his precious little fanny - not even once - when he broke stuff and hurt other kids or disobeyed every single thing you told him was a rule, and after you threatened to sue the school he terrorized because it threatened to suspend him, he never once thanked you and in fact told you he hated you more than anything else in the Universe.
I didn't particularly care when, after spending four years smoking weed, experimenting with his sexuality and attending "classes" that indoctrinated his entitled brain into believing that everything about America is evil and racist and discovering he could get laid a lot easier if he played along with that narrative, he received a degree in Radical Feminism As Kitchen Design, which he could apply to absolutely nothing, resulting in his moving back home with you to lounge around the house all day, eat your food, jerk off to porn and watch Noam Chomsky interviews on your computer while you were at work.
But when Little Lord Lookamee decided to meet up with a bunch of his pals with similar backgrounds and began to play their over-intellectualized babygames in real time among real people, take over a neighborhood in the name of Justice or Something, stop those who live there, frisk them and make sure no one enters or leaves without their permission, carry guns and threaten innocent citizens in the name of stopping violence - banish police to create a police state...
...and you tell me that you don't want to do anything about it because you don't want to "raise tensions"...
...and then your Super Special Spawn of Satan and his buddies take that inch of offered grace and hand the entire society back a shovelful of violence and destruction...

That's when I'm going to demand that the laws that protect me and, yes, even you, kick into gear. And you know what those laws allow the government to do in this situation, Junior?
They allow - legally - for the government to rain hellfire down upon your evil little f*ckface - to push him to the sidewalk, cuff him, arrest him and hurt him badly if he resists. Even kill him if he resists badly enough.

You're being disingenuous again. WE didn't do a damn thing. People decades and even a hundred years ago or more did some bad stuff. I can't take blame for something I had absolutely nothing to do with.
We can only be accountable for actions we have personally taken previously and actions taken today and tomorrow.
My circle of friends come from various walks of life; they're my friends not because of where they come from or what color their skin is but of their character. That's what I was brought up with by my parents (1st generation Canadians) and pretty much most of the people I grew up with were the same. So I'm not buying that I or my family or friends are responsible for anything that happened previous to our birth. Not happening!
And of course, I believe that we can still make things better, not by destroying what we have now, (because that's what's happening now), but to fix things within the system (which by the way is not systemically racist because if it was then that would mean that Tecumsehsbones and his ilk (i.e. lawyers) are all racists, as are judges, juries and everyone else).

That statue is on private property and is a privately owned piece of art. Ironically Republicans have been trying to get it removed.
