Taking it up the Butt.

Conservative MP retracted voter-fraud story after complaint to Elections Canada

A Conservative MP’s retraction of a claim he witnessed voting fraud came after a formal complaint to Elections Canada.

Brad Butt, the MP for the riding of Mississauga–Streetsville, said on two occasions earlier this month – while speaking in support of his government’s proposed “Fair Elections Act” – that he had personally witnessed people collecting discarded voter ID cards with the aim of using them to vote illegally. On Monday, he stood up in the House of Commons to retract that, saying his initial statements were “not accurate” but offering few details.

Nanny state?

You're the one supporting a bill on democracy that deliberately benefits one party lol

Yeah, the bill in question expressly says that the electorate can only vote for one party.

Fact is, if people are going to support a party, they will... Let the parties spend their own money to mobilize their support.

Sucks to be the LPC though, they don't have a lot of scratch these days, do they?

They are actually doing quite well, in comparison to the last few years.

I see that you are focusing on your standard practice of posting non-intellect and flawed logic.

Kudos bro - at least you are always consistent

Wasn't really posting any argument. Just pointing out that you were wrong about the LPC "doesn't have much scratch these days."

We're trying to move away from letting parties buy votes through massive ad campaigns because that basically amounts to giving a priority voice to the one with the most cash.

Backwater, Ontario.
Jaded. Maybe if there was someone to vote for people would come out. As it stands all parties suck and one is the same as the other...corrupt just in different ways. Yup my vote counts, just don't know how any more.

Sit down Sal.
Take a deep breath.
Have a decaff.
Nother deep breath.
There. Isn't that better ?
Now let's just go find Helmethead
And kick him in the nuts.
There. That was fun, eh ?
F'n eh !!
Canadian eh

Actually what those slimy bastards are trying to push through is just the same sh*t as they've been pushing through since they got the 35% majority. (can't do math either) Or think we can't.

Karma's a bitch, but she's a big bitch, and one has to believe Helmethead, Flatulance, Baird, McKay, Clement, will sooner or later get a huge dose of her.

That and a baseball bat might show them the true path, and that lying and stonewalling are not appreciated.

Have another decaff.

Author of report touted by Poilievre contradicts minister on voter fraud

OTTAWA - The author of a report cited repeatedly to justify cracking down on potential voter fraud says the Harper government is misrepresenting his report and ignoring his recommendations.

Indeed, Harry Neufeld says there's not a shred of evidence that there have been more than "a handful" of cases of deliberate voter fraud in either federal or provincial elections.

"I never said there was voter fraud," Neufeld said in an interview with The Canadian Press.

"Nor did the Supreme Court, who looked at this extremely carefully."

Neufeld said the government's efforts to prevent voter fraud are aimed at a non-existent problem. And he predicted they'll wind up disenfranchising thousands of voters and resulting in a rash of court challenges.
