CDNBear, I know of no one right or left in my circle of friends who wanted the 'Patriot Act" to pass. This was rammed down our throats by Congress who thought they were protecting us in a fit of panic. The goverment no matter what political party is in power will not give it up now. Wonder how much of a chance it would have passing today?

I took your statement that you saw the left selling out their rights, I haven't seen that. The left has always been able to abuse the rights and privileges afford them by people that would do the ugliest of things so others wouldn't have too. ;-)
