Get it through your head, the Conservatives are critical of the Liberals and as a result, are using what is available to bring down a corrupt, lieing, sleazy, and slimy government. If the Bloc wants to FOLLOW that, who could stop them? Your path of assistance is backwards.

Whereas the rest of Canada, Quebec notwithstanding, would rather see the country remain united...and the country has seen it as the Conservative Party helping the Bloc to split...

Vanni, if you are going to quote me, use the whole quote. Oh, I forgot, there is that nasty "let's take things out of context" philosophy. You just provided another example of how the left twists things. Disgraceful. And yes, there is hope for you, not much, but still, some.

Alright then blue...do tell, which quote are you referring to, and how is that I've taken your quote out of context?

"Do you really think that just because the likes of people like you call people on the right all the nasty names you can think of that we will all one day say" Gee, Vanni was right, we are that way, ?" Don't hold your breath, pal, because we have all caught onto your idiotic games and the idiotic games of the left who have no tolerance for any other viewpoints than their own impotent and myopic outlook on life. Too bad you have trouble with that thinking for yourself thing, you ought to try it and actually give your brain an excercise in logic instead of the continual excercise in futility it goes throught on a daily basis. Grow up a little bit.
"

The highligted part you kind of conveniently forgot. Kind of changes the context of my statement.

The Bloc isn't following though, Blue...they are leading. They are the ones who make a stand and stick with it. Harper flip-flops like a piece of live bait, hoping somebody bites.

Ummm...no...

If it appeared as though you were in agreement with me in the part that I quoted, then you'd have a case...but you weren't and you don't...so stop whining...

Bluealberta, we have a new policy here now, no goading and taunting. Stop it. Please get a hold of yourself.

This is your quote
"ARe you leaving (he says with much hope?) Alas, probably not to be."

I live in Quebec and I can tell you for a fact its the Liberals and their corrupt practices who are being blamed for the rise in popularity of the Bloc.

What more can I tell you. If Quebec separates history here will credit the Liberals for destroying the country.

Yep...but I have a feeling he won't be a problem for much longer...

I have a feeling that Harper is done. I think that the Conservatives are going to split again. Either a lot of the old PCs will move to the Liberals, or they'll head to the new PC party. Reuniting the right has been a failure.

Do you ever stop ?

If that what you think Canada needs go ahead put your X on paper. You’re ruing my country.

I agree that the unification of the right has proven to be a failure, but suggest that the Reform gang will take another name and start over, too.

By this logic, and it asppears to be prevalent in English Canada, we should do the opposite of everything the Bloc does?

How about this…. The conservatives are the only party willing to respect provincial powers; the long standing beef Que has with the feds. Once the road has been paved with respect for provincial powers, the Bloc will start to become irrelevant politically. Once this happens and the Bloq is removed, perhaps the NDP will start to make in roads in Que. Would you (or others) give the conservatives credit for an ounce of it...no, but that’s how partisan politics is played.

You obviously don't understand Quebecers. This isn't some last minute opportunistic cost-benefit analysis caprice.

No amount of Liberal B.S. is going to turn Quebecers away from 300 year old dream.

Sorry....I should understand Quebecers....been married to one for 30 years.......Last I seen about half the province does not want Quebec to separate. You think anything is going to be different with any other party in power???? The BLOC will get their majority on the separation but they'll turn out to be just the same as anyone else in power. Did Miss Stronach finally see the light....she didn't switch parties for the money...she's independantly wealthy on her own.....

What's that supposed to mean? Are you saying you have to buy her off the same way Ottawa does Quebec? That's pathetic.

Not true. It would be more accurate to say half are afraid of the negative economic consequences -- that's not the same thing as saying half of Quebecers are federalists. If the guarantees were in place, the true separatist numbers would be a lot higher.

What a joke guarantee's?Why would Canada gaurantee Qeubec anything if they seperated? The only thing you would get is your share of the national debt which would be the lions share since your province got the most money. We'll also have our military hardware back and the service contracts.I can also see full support for the natives to get there James Bay land rights back that would bankrupt your new country by itself 8O You better think good and hard about what your doing I'm not so sure corporations would stick around a totaly unstable country because that is what you would be for quite awhile
