Beef industry in the US

It's only 12 and a half or so minutes long, but interesting. Wonder how similar it is in Canada. The sheep farmer I watch has me thinking more about this kind'a stuff lately.

I use to work for Canada Packers in Red Deer. There was 125 of us & we processed about 600 head a day. A Cargill Plant opened in southern Alberta with thousands of employees making between 1/2 & 1/3 of what we where making.

I could see the writing on the wall and went to the oil field. The Canada Packers in Red Deer was gone in a short amount of time.

Much easier for one man searching for work than 125 . Smooth move exlax .

I’d been there for less than a year and some of those people were lifers, so I figured it was time to make an exit strategy before I was one of a whole crowd looking for work at the same time.

Most likely, lean technologies were used in your production, as in Japan at the TOYOTA factories! Because of this, such a high productivity!
