BC Liberals and NDP are apparently neck-and-neck.

Whoever wins this election is decided before we even vote. The ruling elite may or may not decide it is time for a change. They know the peasants have a short attention span, so I'm thinking we will have the illusion of change and the NDP will get in.... but nothing will really change but the faces and a few cosmetic issues. Life will go on like it always has - the rich get richer. the middle class will continue to dwindle and the poor will get poorer. And the ruling elite will laugh all the way to their off shore accounts.

Media uses the Angus Reid poll information. The last poll done came out Friday.
the result was a 7 to 9 percent lead for Dix.. The only way Christi could be neck
and neck at this point would be if her neck was in a political noose.
She is also facing a huge backlash within her own party. There is an 801 club some
Liberals in Summerland have been seen wearing 801 buttons. The 801 club is
believed to be the dump Christi group.

JLM don't want to ruffle too many feathers but Christi and company are the odd ones out
and they will be lucky to have low double digit figures in the seat column. Its the end of
the LIberals in this Province for a while

I think you are very likely right, Grumpy, but as Old Yogi said, "it ain't over till it's over", don't get me wrong, I think there are much better leaders out there than Christy, Gordon Gibson for one comes to mind, but he ain't running. If the N.D.P. gets in it likely won't be the end of the world (they know if they screw up this time, they are done for our lifetime) Personally I just have absolutely no faith in Adrian Dix, had it been Mike Farnsworth my thinking may be a lot different. This "801 Club" shouldn't be taken seriously, just a few radicals looking for their "15 minutes of fame". -:)

I like your perpetual optimism (not sure if that's quite the word)-:) The sad part is every time this gang of bandits gets changed, horrendous costs are run up for trivial sh*t. All the deputies also get changed (with huge payout packages) offices get refurbished, all the old stationery and letter heads are thrown out at a cost of $millions to the taxpayer, just to rearrange the chairs in the legislature!

Yup. That's how the system works. Ain't democracy grand? But at least the worker drones will think they have accomplished something, that they actually have some influence in their lives.

Non Democratic parasites are a good party for you freeloaders that don't mind destroying the economy and making your grand children pay for your greed today. Those of us that take pride in working for a living, contributing to society and like a fiscally responsible government will vote Liberal. Tricky Dix has promised to destroy nall the union construction work in BC to keep the city socialists and greenies happy.

I live in Vancouver. You can still find homeless guys sleeping on the street every single day. There's really not that much difference in the economic performance of the two parties when in power.

As for the guys who are moving out of BC if the NDP wins--c ya!

It all depends how the ones in the middle (don't give much of a sh*t either way) and aren't shrill about it are going to vote.

Well I know people who think the N.D.P. will act in their best interests who just can't see how gullible they are. I have to admit I was sucked in personally for many years thinking they really were about the "working" man when in fact they were for all the drones, parasites and sh*t disturbers on the payroll. But I guess until it affects you personally you are not likely to see it.

and now you're sucked in by the liberals.

yeah, I will vote NDP, (I allready did), but only to get a change for a while, but I know that 'any'
political party isn't for the best interests of any regular hard working guy.

It is power, and money, and a great pension, they all get a free ride with many perks, they just need
a thick skin to ward off all of the crap thrown at them, (well deserved), and the gift of the b.s. gab.
they don't care, its all about them, them them, not us, and for any of us to
argue back and forth about 'which' one is the right one? no one is right.
there is 'no' right one.
I guess its all about 'which one is the best of the worst'.

Nah, not sucked in exactly, all politicians are tarred with the same brush, but we may as well leave the Liberals in. The guy in Vernon is quite good and has done a lot with getting the hospital expansion almost completed and quite a lot of infrastructure in the past 4 years. I think he's given the taxpayer fairly good value, so I'm not about to vote him out. Maybe you've heard of Eric Foster. Every time there is a change of Gov't. the old deputy ministers get a bundle in termination payouts. I don't think it's right but it's the way it goes. Hope you are enjoying the spring, Talloola.

Crispy Cracker and Adrian the D!ck. Hmmm.... I am torn between Satan and his right hand man. Jimmy Pattison didn't hire Glen Clark because he was NDP. He hired him because Jimmy owns both the Liberals and the NDP. It doesn't matter which party gets in, Jimmy and his buddies will still be running the show.

As much as we love living here in the Kootenays, if the Dippers get in and there's even a hint that they'll pull the same crap as the other Dipper gov'ts did (tax and spend, pull scams and scandals, kill industries, cuddle up to unions and alienate BCers, etc.), we may seriously think about selling and moving out. Maybe NZ or Tassie.
Anyone but the Dippers or wackos like the Dippers..
Actually I meant to say "anyone but the wacky Dippers or Glibs".

You can't let them get to you, Les. Actually I think they may be on their best behaviour for the first couple of years, they have to as most people see through their bullsh*t and even more so through all the Union bullsh*t................teachers earning $70000 a year for 40 weeks and wanting a raise................hee hee hee! I might just email the premier weekly asking for a progress report on employment and debt reduction. -:)

I hear you. If we get to see improvement it's not going to be because of any government. -:)
If you want to see any improvement, I expect you might have to do it yourself. Democracy is a wonderful way for folks to give away all their responsibility to a bunch a meat heads who won't do anything and don't care about anybody but themselves. People want to improve the situation they need to organize, have an old fashioned barn raising instead of waiting for the grant money to arrive.

Cliffy, we're talking about BCers here, you know. But it's a nice hope that organisation would be possible among us.
